  1. Farkskin hell , defo after standard after seeing the price of those haha, I see Brian? crower ones on eBay from USA for bout 110 quid, I've got a guy that's been supplying my bits , Sean Hurley, from Hurley race car parts, he should becable to get me some, but needs a chassis number and I don't have one for a 2006 hawk sti which is what the heads are from
  2. After standard mate, well, not double springs for sure as not replacing valves, will are a look at that link 👍
  3. You can get the efficiency cel if you have a pre cat/pre sensor leak
  4. Hi all, anybody know where to buy new valve springs for my 2006 Hawkeye sti heads, tried icp, but they don't sell them, suppose it's Subaru main dealer ?
  5. Forget that, just watched vid and didn't hear one 😳
  6. Have you got a vent to air dump valve
  7. Should have spring loaded end/s with square locators on the very end to locate into boot plastics, should just be a case of compressing the internal Spring so locator comes free and removing load cover from car
  8. Valve guides are all back in, heads still measure 127.5mm so will have a little skim done, tigged up the little dint I put in it ready for the skim, and "adjusted" the scoop a bit 😜
  9. Lols, just messing about with it at the mo tbh, I liked the scoop more when it didn't have the second bend in it to bring the opening down a bit cos I thort it might pull the bonnet off at speed 😜, might remake it, but first will shape those sides a bit more, probs cut it away on the top and taper the sides in at the top, then fit some ally spindles in the opening and mesh it 🙈
  10. Removed valve guides and oil restricters from heads, tapped head with a hammer while doing guides right where the head gasket seals the cylinder, have dinged it, so that'll have to be welded and skimmed, bummer, have got new supertech guides and seals to go back in, and have had a play about with the bonnet scoop lol
  11. Get a hawk, get the engine forged and you will have the better engine and it will be reliable, they really are a gamble otherwise, there is no hard and fast rule to why/when the 2.5 break, mine was bought already broken with a meticulous service history
  12. Not sure if this is relevant, I think it's about the exedy clutch's
  13. As mamba said, fuel lines under inlet manifold leak a little when cold, it's a known thing, may even have been a recall 🤔
  14. That looks awesome mate !! Where did the big scoop come from ?
  15. Stuck it on eBay for £225 ono, was gone within 20 mins
  16. I love the way it takes up most of my time and money....... 😳
  17. @danny wright How you gettin on with this ?
  18. 😕 sorry to hear mate, hope it gets better for you if that's possible !!, not looking for huge amounts for it tbh, it'll probs hang around for a while till someone blows an engine or wants a build base
