Yeah scoobs, another part of the reason I went his way, I'm a realist and I understand things go wrong, but in speaking to a couple of you guys I thought ok, if I have any issues it'll be fine, he will sort it, and I think/thought he's a really nice bloke, but he just hasn't helped at all really, and I'm stuck with a car that will not drive with the avcs connected anymore, it's just ridiculous, he even told me he used more avcs (just reread his text, he said he used more cams)in the map so as you can imagine I'm thinking just take a bit back out then so I can use the car lol i honestly don't know if I've pis-sed him off in some way or maybe something nasty has befallen him. But I just wanna be able to use my car 🙄

Jeebus wept !! So where do I go for gods sake lol, in fairness tidgy did warn me about Duncan discretely by pm and I went against his advice because duncan was only up the road so was easy , I hugely regret going to him and I would honestly never ever recommend his service to anyone ever, I am close to selling my car because of this experience, I have also had very dark thoughts about finding him turning him upside down and shaking my money out of him if I'm honest, I will persue a claim with Barclaycard, the trouble will start if I don't have a successful claim, as in my eyes Duncan has in effect ripped me off for £430, anyway glad to se you guys take it down a notch or two 👍 Gonna have a look at the link now 😛

Looks like engine tuner then tidgy, scoobyclinic looks like a boring old drive, andy forest way too far, subaru4you nobody really seems to talk about them, slowboy racing sounds like has own premises but can be hard to get hold of (fuckthat again!) and thanks donnylad but really want someone that's Subaru through and through, Bob rawle seems like hassle trying to get to see him

Will have a look at Bob rawl, I'm almost at the point of buying all the software etc to start doing it myself tbh as I have a buddy that wants to go half on it

I have mailed engine tuner, I am thinking of mailing slowboy racing, I want someone with a premises of their own so I have some element of accountability, am looking at subaru4you as well, engine tuner looks favourite at the mo tho mate

Hi guys, sorry to bother you all again can I have recommendations for Subaru mappers please, I'm in Portsmouth area and willing to travel, please don't offer racedynamix as an option I have engine tuner from tidgy so far

I used a bit of exhaust assembly paste once before just to see me through untill I got a new one but it's not recommended to use in pre cat locations. oops 🙄

Might try last ditch attempt and change camshaft sensors mate, can't think what else it can be if not those

No mud thrown from this direction, not once have I said anything nasty or hurtful or even agreed with other people's views that may be considered mud slinging, 5 years ago this car would have been driven through the front of wherever he was residing, violence and prison would have then ensued again, regardless of blame, but a lot of things have changed in my life so I am taking a much calmer route, I am also telling it as it is with no extras or anything taken away, this is my experience and that's that really 👍it has, new crank sensor, new maf, new front o2, new throttle body, new electric throttle pedal, new pcv, new intake hose, new 3port boost solenoid, new turbo actuator, new knock sensor, new fuel pump, new air filter, new plugs, new oil, new timing belt kit, etc etc, a lot of that was put in to try and eradicate a massive buckaroo problem as it came into boost, Duncan fixed that with the new map, gave me lots more power when it's going right but I have inherited massive low down issues where it goes into limp mode nearly every drive, if you can help me fix it scoobs I will love you forever and a day !! Edit:- jeebus, maybe the violence thing woulda been 10 years ago lol, don't time fly, forgot how old I am for a moment there 😳

Could be an underlying issue mate, and I will be the first person to say if it is anything I've done or anything other than the map, but the car was not doing this when it went in is all I can say, I just would have liked some help from him as I have no idea what he's done or where to start looking, I'm just chasing my tail thinking it could be this or that

This all started on Friday 5th August (that's also when I text him and told him what's happening and sent screen shots of romraider with all the bad news) the afternoon of the day of mapping, I've put up with this shi-t for a month now, that's just not on, it's my daily driver, oddly enough, these last two days it rained the car ran fine for those two wet days ??? Wtf is that all about

Chargeback is for debit cards, I used a credit card so will put in a claim, I'm afraid I can't put up with it any more, I've just spent another 14 miles in limp mode boosting 7 psi and getting really !! pisse-ed off

Yes mate, credit card, I just have not got another 430 quid to throw at another mapper, can't get hold of the guy did mine, cars running shi-te, wanna try and get it back so I have the money to go to engine tuner and have them map it, or at least have a look at it to maybe see what's up

What do we think the chances of me getting my money back from barclaycard that I paid to have my car mapped with

Guys as you know I've had my car mapped and I'm having big issues with the running of it, I can't get hold of the mapper (text him again Saturday morning early, it's now Tuesday evening and still nothing and cars in limp mode again!) so I was wondering if anybody has a good ecu I could try in my car to see if it makes any difference, just to rule it in or out

As long as you do that's all that matters ! 👍

And if this head guy is a pain to get hold of now, just think how bad it could be if something isn't right and then you can't get hold of him, that will drive you insane !!! as I'm having that problem at the mo, so maybe think about that

I know it's blo-ody hard when your on a budget, and £500 for a set of Pistons ain't to be sniffed at, but if the bores are within limits and are good I would really try and fork out for some, or else check Pistons, chuck it back together, get a few thousand miles on it to make sure it's all ok and then drag it out and put some in, your be looking at new head gaskets, studs maybe, etc, hard to make a decision I spose, it's just that the Pistons really are/can be a big problem on these engines
