  1. Will try and get one on mine and see what mines doing (gulp) for comparison
  2. I think probs the prosport is a little out tbh if it's gonna be any of them, and maybe up your tickover by 100rpm or so
  3. I also read recently (can't remember where or who said it) that you need 10psi for every thousand revs ?
  4. What's your car ticking over at rpm wise, may want to put it up 100-200 revs, I'm assuming it was ticking over when it went low ?? now I'm gettin worried, where do we get these oil pressure gauges ?
  5. One of the most nail biting threads since I joined, been on the edge of my seat towards the end 😜 Fingers crossed mate
  6. needs to be refruitionalised then methinks lol
  7. Sounds like a plan !
  8. I couldn't have said it better myself 😉
  9. I just replaced mine from "import car parts", changed the oem for an oem, mine was fine but I needed to rule it out of the equation, so while had sump off thought may as well change it, will probs end up getting a killer b one at some point if I've not burned the car lol
  10. I wish I had listened to you mate i really do, this has been such a ball ache
  11. He's a !Removed! idiot tidgy, I'm done with being nice about it all, he mapped the car, messed it up and then just did a disappearing act with my £430 for 20 minutes work for about 5 dyno runs, the fuel trims are pulling fuel still, still getting pulled timing and going into limp mode, I'm in the process with barclaycard of trying to get my money back, I wouldn't like to say what's gonna happen if I bump into him tbh
  12. Racedynamix or dynamics or whatever it's called, the more I'm speaking to people the more I'm getting the impression that he's done a poor job, a few runs on the dyno and no road time at all, it's my first time having a car mapped so I never knew it shoulda been road tested after the rolling road, I just assumed the fella knew what he was doing
  13. Ooooh **** ! Fingers crossed mate but that coulda been why the engine let go the first time ? You mighta caught it in time before serious damage, defo keep an eye on the turbo now as that woulda suffered if oil pressure low, maybe that's why you had hesitation too as it probs couldn't run the avcs properly
  14. Awesome mate, thanks, I have a 07 hawk wrx, is it possible to actually change stuff in the map like timing , fuelling etc
  15. Tell me more about this deleting codes, as I thought you could only log with a vagcom, very interested
  16. Also check wiring to sensor mate, sounds like it could be earthing down (if that's the way round that they work) and that would have given you the long oil light before, does sound sensor related tho
  17. No mate, no more than 6 runs on the rollers (probs more like 4 or maybe 5) then out the door into car park and that's it, and thinking about it, when I drove it home it did feel a bit "fluffy" at certain rpm, but I didn't have lap top plugged in as had Mrs and baby in car, so wasn't right from the time it left
  18. Yeah it's not nice mate tbh, I'm sure if he had taken the car out for a drive after RRing it and logged it he would have been able to iron out the niggles, but it was a few blasts on the rollers and thank you very much, put your card in here and type in your pin lol the irony of it all is that I actually said (words to the effect of) I'm happy with the power it's got already I want you to map it to make it a pleasure to drive not map it for out and out performance hmmmm 🙄 Ended up with the opposite lol
  19. Get a vag com cable and download romraider and all the defs onto your laptop and then you can log most parameters of your engine
  20. I think that's a code to say the variable valve timing is out of sync from one side of engine to another, usually the avcs pulley sticky, jammed, or bust, or cam belt maybe a tooth out (unlikely), all can happen after a rebuild, hopefully it'll work itself out when it's got a few miles mate, or a slight possibility of cam position sensor
  21. Happy days mate !! Maybe a remap to sort out hesitation if it don't get better, Hawks are renowned for it
  22. Well why didn't you say that in the first place..... 😜
  23. I think it's a case of, your car is alarmed and locked your fob is theoretically knackered so you then have to unlock your door with the key and then you get in car and disarm with keypad immediately before any ignition turnings on are had
  24. Yes mate
