2005 Legacy shuddering 18-25 mph. Help!
Oh, that could throw a spanner in the works being auto, may be a torque converter problem, maybe try a gearbox oil change or put some conditioner in it, how many miles has it done

2005 Legacy shuddering 18-25 mph. Help!
If it's same speed as linx said, after all the checks you've had done, I would look at tyres being overinflated or knackerd shock/s

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Your gonna have trouble with that new smaller filter mate, I put one on my car, the filter sits a lot higher in the tank and I was getting fuel starvation issues at about a quarter of a tank if I booted it, if you don't run your car down that far you'll be ok

@stants All good mate 👍 Once I chopped of that extra bit on the top and painted the tops to match the fade on my rims I thought they looked good- Ex Sub Now Returned
Do you have an alarm/immobiliser that could be playing up, could be crank or maybe camshaft sensor ? (I don't know if moody cam sensor would stop it running), maybe pop a fuel hose off to make sure your defo getting fuel, and obviously check cam belt for proper tension and to make sure it hasn't skipped any teeth- Possible head gasket death? (Video)
A lot of the time you just get a hairline crack in the head gasket between the cylinder and a waterway so you don't get any water/oil mixing, tbh if yours does turn out to be headgasket and not just an airlock working its way up then I would presume it is very early in its failure and probs best to address now- Possible head gasket death? (Video)
This is pretty much what the wife's 2.0d X3 was doing and pressurising the water system, that was head gasket, and also it's pretty much the same as my wrx is doing now although I have more frequent smaller bubbles and some presssure in the water hoses, and uses a little bit of water, I put some kseal in it and it's not gotten any worse over a couple of months, just gonna nurse it along until I get the other engine finished, but I presume it is head gasket- Windscreen trim
We have a mobile fitter com round and take the glass out, then when works done, they come back and glue it in for £50 maybe that would be a better option ? to ring round a few to see if they would and how much- Free tow hook wanted.....
- Under car treatment?
Gonna have my car done at some point, so interested in this- Help headgasket gone
How bad has it gone ? Is it just pressurising the water hoses a bit with no adverse effects in running and only using a little bit of water, or is it fully knackered, blowing out coolant/mixing coolant with oil, smoking, rough running etc- Bc br coilovers
What ya got planned for the wagon then Tidgy 🤔- Bc br coilovers
No mate, no steering issues as such, just a horrible feeling of being the car being disconnected from the road, next to no feedback/feeling from the front, really light feeling steering almost as tho the power steering pump was workin to much, and a horrible wallowy ride, it crept up on me over the period of 6 months I recko, maybe more, gradually getting more vague, funny tho, if you drove over some sticky tarmack or shell grip it felt fine again...... speed humps fine as not gone too low, just gotta take them a bit slower tho 👍- Mechanic Joyride - Advice
Also, check for any obvious water leaks, especially check the clip on the bottom rad hose where it fixes onto the rad- Mechanic Joyride - Advice
Sounds like an air lock to me as that's what mine did, but you need to lose water to get one, although could be numerous thing, check overflow bottle level, check to see if the top hose is pressurising after a drive, and when car starts getting hot check to see if the bottom hose to the rad is hot or cold - More stuff
