  1. so looking for any input as im not mechanically savvy when it comes to these things, i have a 2003 impreza wrx blob saloon. currently have tein s lowering springs on the standard shocks but just had MOT and been told the rear shocks are knackered and want replacing. been looking at pedders rear shocks on scoobyworld. will my springs be ok on these? im assuming mixing tein springs with pedders shocks will be ok just want to be sure before i order, thanks
  2. Hi so I've got a 3rd to 4th crunch, only happens at high revs. I've heard castrol transmax 75w 90 is really good and helps with the crunch. Anybody used this and offer any options on transmax or maybe something else? Car is 2003 impreza wrx on 124k. Thanks

  4. thanks for the reply judd, so timing belt was done 23k miles ago and dont know wether it comes with warranty i'll have to ask, car is 2003 impreza wrx on 124k miles. no other problems with the car and no rust anywhere very clean underneath.

So just come back from area52 and been told headgasket is gone, got a quote of £2990 to repair, I'm just worried about spending that kind of money and it happening again, is it possible for a new one to fail again at some point? I don't want to get a year down the line and it goes again, what's the chances of it failing in the future? Thanks

So I've got a knocking coming from passenger rear, assumed it was a wheel bearing but mechanic wreckons it's the spring knocking on the shell because the previous owner put lowering tein springs on the standard shocks but my I'm not sure because it only does it on that one corner and I've had the car 3 years and it's only started the last couple of weeks, surely if it was because of the springs it would have done it since I owned the car? Any thoughts

  8. hi would a go fast dump valve t9100 designed for a classic 99-00 fit onto a 2003 blob, found someone selling one that has come of a classic but he says it will go onto a blobeye. looked on scoobyworld and says classic only, thanks

  12. aslomng as i get over the 300 i'll be happy but 320 is the aim, will be getting mapped at area52 in kirkby in ashfield. been there twice before and they've been really good

  15. hi currently own a 2003 impreza wrx running 269bhp, it's got td04 hybrid, full decat, rcm fuel pump, k&n apollo induction kit with a remap. just brought a vf35 and sti injectors to go on and be mapped again. just want to know is there anything else i should get before i map it? aiming for 320ish if possible,thanks
  16. hi guys so at the minute iv'e got a 2003 wrx with TD04 hybrid RCM fuel pump K&N apollo induction kit full decat raptor back box remapped running 279bhp but i want to get around 320ish so looking at new turbo with sti injectors then remap, would i need any other mods and which is the better turbo in people's opinions the vf34 or vf35. im assuming there's not much difference but the 35 seems to be half the price than the 34, appreciate any help and input

  18. hi iv'e got 2 personalised plates on retention and just want to know a rough price of what they would be worth, first one is PB53 WRX and the other is W11 WRX. i know people will say they are worth what someone is willing to pay but just wanted an idea of a rough idea of what to ask for,cheers
  19. Yeah was a genuine part, a denso sensor with the exact same part number as the old one

Hi looking for some help again, so had a bad misfire for a few weeks now, replaced spark plugs and coilpacks but still the same, unplugged the maf sensor and the misfire went away so assumed that was the issue, so brought a new one and the misfire is still there, the new maf did bring up 2 new codes though, P0113 and P0102, hope someone can give some idea as what to do next, car is a 2003 wrx. Cheers

  23. afternoon all so long story short been told i need a remap, thought since it's being mapped i may aswell upgrade the fuel pump to the walbro 255, i just want to know will i need a map as soon as it's fitted or will it be ok for a couple of days, i know it will run like **** until it's mapped just need to know if it's safe,car is a 2003 wrx ppp. cheers
  24. hi guys im looking for some help, so i have a really bad misfire which started a few weeks ago, iv'e plugged in the code reader and comes up with misfire cylinder 2, so i cleaned the MAF sensor, put in brand new plugs and changed the coil pack on that cylinder but it's made no difference, iv'e taken it to the garage today and the only advice they could give me was to change all the coil packs and see if that helps, should i do that or is there something i could look at cheers, impreza wrx 2003
  25. so finally got round to putting them new plugs in last week but no change, on my way back today the engine management light came on so plugged in the code reader and has come up with cylinder 2 misfire, where should i go from here,thanks
