  1. blinkin eck, I think something telling me error codes each time I went out would do my head in and I'd end up not daring to go out.. just incase another popped up. what's been done to the car? a re map, de cat pipe? are you runing V-power or Momentum? I'd un plug it and worry when something starts smoking or doesn;t start ;) let the dealer check it out and don't fiddle with it

I'll be there with www.m-soc.com as we'll be at Rally Day @ Castle Combe on the Saturday, then driving over to Silverstone from there... a busy weekend
  3. My 1st batch of photos arrived yesterday of some of the shoots I took last week at the Curborough Sprint Track where www.m-soc.com held their annual event. Have to say I'm quite pleased with the results, even the couple which are on soft focus give a sense of speed. I'll be mounting these on 400x500 boards that'll I'll bevel cut. A couple I'm going to enter into my Camera Club's Printed Photo competitions which have to be presented to the national standard for photography competition entry, and they get an independent judges in (to mark the photos out of 20) who have been approved by the North & East Midland Photographic Federation, (N&EMPF). All exciting stuff Thanks for looking.
  4. really!!! £1600!!! Ring Rob up at Stan Palmers, (he's on the Customer Service desk, he's got me a replacement SS back box.. approved by Subaru... under £200 delivered, and a centre pipe was about £100 if I wanted it. My car is 2002, but II think they'll do one for a 2008 too. worth a call, as they come with subaru warranty too.
  5. m-soc had their annual day at Curbourgh Sprint Track yesterday, brill weather and some nice cars to see, what more do you want :) my pix are here... https://www.flickr.com/photos/neoquip/albums/72157670500925601 and here.. https://www.flickr.com/photos/neoquip/albums/72157671240064975 some of the better ones I like.... a great day out, weather was on our side too. enjoy
  6. I use Machine Marts Traffic Film remover.. spray on and then use a detailing brush to agitate it, snow foam it all.. then jet wash off. https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/traffic-detergent-5l-concentrate/ Dry off and then use some AutoGlym Vinyl & Rubber cleaner and a soft micro fibre towel. You can use wd40 or silicone spray if you want too.
  7. it does restrict how how the boot opens.. and it only goes as far as it can before it has the spoiler catch the roof. so it has wire to stop it going up too far.
  8. You may be able to pick up a STi Prodrive back box off a 330s.. which should fit yours.. its a quad pipe .. so you may have to see if the rear trim needs cutting.. then you put the extentions around the rear. Ivan's car is a WRX with the STI exhaust M-SOC 2016 by FIL, on Flickr
  9. I've just gone over all my STI with this... http://angelwax.co.uk/product/stripped-ease-wax-removal-system/ to get all the wax I've put on it over the years, so I can start again and build up the paint finsh. So tonight I've prepped the 'stripped' paint work with AngelWax Ti-22 and then applied a coat of Anglewax Desirable.
  10. before you do anything.. clay cloth your car first... then see what your paint work comes up like!! http://www.theclayclothcompany.co.uk/ only needs doing once a year ;) difference between wax and polish http://www.theclayclothcompany.co.uk/page_3288339.html

Bosch from wiperblades.co.uk http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/subaru-forester-years-1997-to-2002-rear-wiper-blades/ Had my rear windows tinted thanks to www.tinttech.co.uk This arrrived today thanks to Rob up at Stan Palmers Subaru in Carlisle for sourcing an official Subaru SS back box for the Forester at a very nice price :) This will be fitted on Saturday morning. Next to do is the alloys at The Wheel Specialist on Friday, going for Charcoal colour. as these are not nice to look at
  17. I've my car booked in for this Friday at the wheel specialist in Nottm to get the wheels done, I've gone for Gunmetal colour on my silver forester https://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/wheel-finishes/standard/
  18. I'll give it a week and if anything shows up and looks not right I'll whip it back so he can heat gun it :) lol
  19. had it done today at TintTech in Nottingham. great price. went for the 15% tint :) just on the back windows quite pleased with the look now too Highly recommend Dan at Tint Tech too, very professional and offers lifetime guarantee on the film.. while ever you own the car. He said any problems bring it back :) Can't say fairer than that. :)
  20. I rang the garage who have done the last 6 or 7 services. He knew the car.. said its had anything done that needed doing. From the service in Feb 2014 to it's next service in March 2016 the car has covered 2800 miles. He said in May 2014 the cam belt and water pump were done... guess what.. 30miles had been covered between the Feb service and the cam belt being done in teh May of 2014!!!
