  1. For a while I've wanted to swap my OE chrome wheel nuts to something better as they are starting to look tired. After seeing the write ups about alloy nuts sheering off I knew I wanted quality. The only ones to go for are McGard - obviously IMO. When I went to the International Autosports show at the NEC earlier this year I came across the McGard stand, where I soon asked about their wheel nuts for my Subaru STi 330s which I wanted in Black. A deal was hammered out for a FULL set (inc wheel locking nut) of the Black Edition that were subaru fitment. Today I've had chance to fit them. So here you go with an idiots guide to swapping your OE ones for the new Black Edition's. Start with removing the OE locking nut to be on the safe side use some lube/oil so you can get them off either next time round 1st one fitted. 2nd one will be the opposite side, then the 3rd opposite to that one. 4th & 5th again done as opposing sides like doing the ones previous Don't forget to Torque them up to just a shade under 100Nm I just need to full detail my car now ready for the show season ;)
  2. more lemons than anything else, rusty wheel arches... and don't forget they'll all be over 300bhp!! ;)
  3. hello and welcome. for that money you are looking at £1500 sheds!! you'll spend more fixing, taxing and insuring it in the first twelve months. and put it another way I paid £1300 4 years ago for a 52plate Fiat Punto Sporting with 58k miles!! personally.. you don't want to spend less than £5k for a classic, then make sure you know where it came from. remember the bank loan is your friend
  4. dead easy then doing it that way. ;)
  5. here you go, easy fitment ;) https://subimods.com/subimods-hella-horn-bracket-and-v2-wiring-harness-combo-2015-2016-wrx-sti-sm-h-combova.html
  6. have you not got the single bracket to fix them then and wiring loom? Garage Racers-2a by FIL, on Flickr
  7. Have you gone for the Quadzilla hella horns?? https://subimods.com/quad-hella-supertone-horn-combo-with-subimods-bracket-and-v2-wiring-harness-2015-2016-wrx-sti.html I've just got to two Hella horns.. loud, but still sound tinny :(
  8. for me, knowing someone who had a carbon fibre front lip spoiler then , smashed it driving.. it's expensive to buy, then you need to get it fixed. HTAutos do the Sti fitment though. http://htautos.co.uk/product-category/08-10-hatchback/ failing that have you looked at Japanparts.com
  9. awesome, no need to mod a 22b :) just get it taxed and back on the road... plenty of shows coming up this year. It would be drooled over at Rally Day in September down at Castle Combe
  10. ouch. :( how many miles you done? dare i ask what it costs to put right... are we looking £5k or near £10k?
  11. there's no USB on my car and the AV connection is in the centre seat consol, next to the 12v adaptor. I'f i plug my Mp4 in via the AV sockets It plays on the screen/sound but you can't control the MP4 from the steering wheel or the head unit of course. I know ppl burned music to DVD's and then they can play on the head unit and have the steering wheel controls working.
  12. it's a the Kenwood Head unit out the 330s car. No bluetooth on it.. and should work perfectly with the steeringwheel controls.
  13. whats that supposed to be? F backwards?
  14. it says.... Product Information ONLY for Liberal rear diffuser (004-046-005 or 004-046-006) equip model. Nissan OEM rear foglight with Liberal LED valve. Switch is NOT included (NOT for sale). did you buy that as well? importing from japanparts, you have import duty/vat and parcel force handling charge to pay on to. if you go onto HMRC website and search COMMODITY codes, you can then find out the import duty % rate you'll pay fo rth goods you import. Make sure you ahve the correct commodity code on the packaging so you get charged correctly and not someone guessing a % rate that could be wring and too high. My rear R205 defuser worked out at 3.5% but 20% vat gets added etc as well :(
  15. If you've no water in the expansion tank of the rad I'd want a few more things checking. Why the loss of water? If the HG gone there's a few other things that want looking into at the same time!
  16. Just packed the last set up tonight that got bought off ebay earlier today (£31.99 incl P&P) got some more red and smoked coming very soon though
  17. you do know you can get the rear clear fog light lens from the uk? (about £70) where does the red fog light thingie go?
  18. Touch wood no problems with mine :) Got mine at the end of Jan 2011... it was 2yrs old virtually to to day it was first registered. So 5yrs now. all is good. I've one set of Smoked overlays left.. until get get the next order from the US in the next week or so.
  19. take it back to where you got it from to be checked.. still under warranty (3months?)
  20. hello and welcome to the 330s club :) you now need a clear rear fog light and then some smoked.. or red overlays ;) Your insurance is mental at £1331... is that Fully Comp? add that to £500 road tax ....ouch
  21. did you tell them loads of ppl with older WRX's have over 300bhp, you only have to look on Piston Heads!!
  22. I'd go for something that's been tested, so you know it will enhance the car and not restrict it. those outthere pre made up already have been tested and you know what you're getting. buy cheap.. pay twice ;) http://www.tarmacsportz.co.uk/products.aspx?CategoryId=9292f566-0cf9-4b76-9eae-61fb4e6e1fbe
