  4. Well if you test the feeds to the ciggy lighter & door lights may give you an idea if it's git an intermittent Fault and slowly work backwards from the fault to see if theres a break or bad earth somewhere
  5. Is it for the box or power steering ? Any of the three mentioned above will do th job as long as it meets the oem spec, Millers or fuchs then castor is what I'd go with, have you looked at opie oils site ? We get discount too
  6. Imports don't Come with alarms standard so if may just be the way it works, do you have the two button key ? May be worth taking the door cards off to see if there are any locking actuators attached or not ugged into the loom, Does the door light work when you open the doors or just any time if feels like ? Sounds like somone may have hacked into the loom at some point and made a mess of things, i'd also check the big fuses in the engine bay as they do corrode over time so could just be making contact randomly Sounds like it could be an earthing problem, do you have a multi meter? Would help you out no end
  7. Just seen this from an ex subaru dealership http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=201400745374&alt=web
  8. I guess it would be a bit of a pain as the ecu would probably need changing to one with cruise then need mapping to be able to get the most of out of the sti side of things,
  9. Have you decided on what your doing with it yet ? Or is it a case of getting the block & seeing what the best plan of attack is ?
  10. This isn't mine just helping out spread the word from foc. I did yous copy the link maybe needs and edit
  11. The blue box is standard, pink is uprated, so you could get away with a blue one, depends on who you speak to, scooby clinic reckon the blue would be fine up to 300
  12. How much power are you running ? Exedy pink box clutch will be fine up to about 350 bhp
  13. It should run ok it does on win 7 I'm in the mode of a field at the mo but if you do a search from ssm2 there's a good thread on subaru forester.Org about it and what you need, I'll post up links later. As for dongle for iPhone I think you need a wifi one, have a look in the app store for odb2 app
  14. Also to throw the td04 & 05 hybrids into the mix not sure about cost but you could supply your existing one and get it converted
  15. What kind of phone fo you have ? You can get dongles that connect to your phone for a fiver that will do a good job, alternatively you could look at downloading a free copy of the subaru select monitor 2 that will require a laptop to run but it's specific to subaru and will do a lot more than the generic ones above
  16. I did it on thread to block, thread to flexi, flexi to tee and both senders, not checked it today but seems ok
  17. Not really, may need a spacer on the front doors to clear the window when down
  18. I know I keep banging on about ptfe, seriously wrap every thread you have and it will be ok
  19. Posted this from UK forester just doing my bit to help reunite the owner with his car 1997 Forester T/tb (J5 TRV) was stolen from my driveway last night. Audacious thieves indeed seeing as the car was parked underneath our bedroom window and we only heard the flat four rumble away when it was too late. Police and insurance now notified. If you could keep your eyes peeled for this distinctive car (black, gold wheels, grey leather interior, automatic, private reg!) in the Bradford, Halifax, Keighley and Skipton area. Much appreciated. http://www.ukforester.com/forums/index.php?/topic/442-My-Forester-stolen-last-night-(06-08-15)
  20.
