  1. didn't have the time to clay so it still feels terrible to run your hands over the paint work, but a wash and a wax is a start rubbish shots as was on phone and losing the light,
  2. haha brilliant, reminds me of this chap, my personal favorite http://www.27bslash6.com/overdue.html
  3. Cheers. Hope some more people turn up don't want to have to shave my legs again !
  4. Haha i have a bit of previous over that way used to go out with a girl from there so i know to steer clear of the ones with webbed fingers and general inbred look :-P
  5. Maybe locking the other thread put a hex on it ! I'll bring some beers as payment for entering fenland may not get out alive else :O
  6. 69% sure i'll be attending think it will be a over in the morning job and returning same evening for me as the misses won't be coming and our kid's b'day bash starts at about 8-9 i think
  7. This was my biggest concern having half the dash on the back seat and a butcherd loom, so all beer payment would be made after sucessful test run ! : )
  8. cant speak about either, but never look a gifthorse in the mouth ! for fifty quid i'd take a punt, if you don't like it sell it on and gain money back or even make a little : ) but as a quick fix i'd say why not ?
  9. cool i'll have a look at the depo ones, literally will be oil pressure, them maybe boost and another temp gauge at some point, not sure about the location as of yet may go for some 42mm ones and fit the in the din cubby hole, did you get the deop ones from a uk distributor ?
  10. I'm thinking about the prosport ones that aren't daisy'd so not sure if i'll need to run from ywo different feeds or the same one be ok ? I hate electrics ! To think i did a course at college years ago ! I think ot's due to the fact they aren't easily fixed with the aid of hammer. Maybe a tec day meet up would be a good idea ! Or i'lll just bring all the parts i've accumulated to gambits bbq and bribe people with beer ! (after completion of: ) sad jobs: )
  11. try etyres.co.uk just got for conti vanco 2 tyres for the rear of the tranny the were nearly 75quid cheaper than everywhere else
  12. i've not bought the gauge yet just sorta pricing up and working out the fitting/complexity i'm pretty good with a spanner but electricals scare me a bit :-* i've seen some threads where an oil galley has been removed from the top /back of the block near where the intercooler is located. ideally i want one i just install and leave some of the oil filter sandwich plate ones have leakage issues as they get disturbed at oil change time. it would just be a good addition to be able to see what's going on mainly for piece of mind , as by the time the warning light comes on it's prob too late (don't worry i check my oil weekly) i won't be releying on either as my only source of oil level
  13. is it literally a case of putting one of these on, a sender unit and wiring a gauge up in the cabin ? http://compare.ebay.co.uk/like/121139700769?var=gv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y&cbt=y&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=65&ff19=0 any other alternatives or easier ways ? cheers
  14. hopefully but that's wishfull thinking it just goes faster now :-) i'm debating weather to weigh it in next time i'm down the scrappy
  15. if you want some pics of spoiler let me now i'll take and measure the mount locations, saying that is your model the sf generation ? i'm not sure they went up to before the sg ? maybe someone has a newer model that can go the same and then you can compare if you are still lookimg for the answers :-)
  16. Thanks : ) She's currently as i bought her so i'm looking at wheels and a new exhaust at some stage but not essential . the scoop and wing need repainting too but. baby things are taking a precident. I don't tow anything so it was just a load more weight to be pulling around. plus i have a louton tranny if i need to move anything that wont fit in the car. the whole unit weighs close to 80kg so it made sense to remove what i could, i've left the hangers on as the back box hanger s bolted onto it .
  17. i've just removed my bar you can borrow it if you like : ) if gambit runs out of meat could always chop off a bit of rump and get it cooking, i'm debating weather to drive over friday after work and camp it up Hiya! (misses dependent, not having good time carrying the baby in this weather) but can have a shandy or two, or just bast over in the morning and return later on ? google reckons it's nearly two hours from mine, i'm sure it's not though
  18. think it got cancelled : ( with regards to watching it as a factual program i didn't say it ever was, i just think the 'new format' ones a couple years ago had more car based stuff as to the more recent ones, which is a shame as now fitth gear is on discovery it leaves one show on terrestrial don't get me wrong i wasn't slagging it off as a tv show goes it's good just wish there was a bit more in the way of motors,
  19. I'm dissapointed in the latest season, have been for a while, it's more of a light entertainment programme wuth a few car based bits thrown in. 1st one last week had about 15mins of actual car review with the hot hatch segment. I'm just hlad i record it so i can ff through the toss. Good news is that 5yh gear has started filming a new series. Maybe car shows on tv have had their time ? I fond myself watching more and more stuff on the interwebs now. Think the drive video magazine is great with chris harris, that evo tv and a couple others are just about all i need :)
  20. put me down for a provisional place, it's my brothers b'day and he's got something planned, do you have a rough start time ? may be a case of coming saying hello for a couple hours and off again, have to see what he's up to, Lincolnshire ? hmm bandit country i'll pack my passport roughly where about's are you ?
  21. 8000, and that's a big guesstimate, only did 5k a year in the mx5 so i'm not figuring i'm gonna do much more, unless baby duties pile the miles on , i can walk to work, up until last week i cycled then some thieving to rag liberated it have a van for work too so it's basically a weekend wagon :D Gambit, i'm up for the bbq, i'll post in appropriate thread
  22. or go smaller gauges 45/42mm ? i've seen single din tripple mounts, it only appears to be a bit of plastic with 3 holes cut out. and they can't be angled either, bit like the option nismo gauge clusters on r32,33 skylines. could make them yourself alternitavely just replace the dash panel with one of those fancy stack sets : ) bit extreme and very expensive but all the data you'll ever need
  23. the whole lot ? i did find it a bit odd fpr it to be there as it's not very noisy on the 1st place
  24. maybe this ? dunno how curvy your dash is ? a steal at 15 bits http://www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/mounting-pods/revotec-52mm-dashtop-gauge-pod
