June 30, 201510 yr So after having a driving licence for over 10 years and not hitting anything... i finally hit something... and it wasn't cool. Nothing major, just frustrated with traffic on my way to work, get to the small parking area at my work, colleague parked like a knob and while manoeuvring in a tight space, trying not to hit his car... i hit a handrail. Bugger... So inquired with a couple of places and heard some good things about Chips Away... plus, they come to me and do all the work on my driveway! They did an excellent job and so I thought i would post a before and after shot. There is still a very slight kink in the fog light surround but it's barely noticeable. Not bad for £168...
June 30, 201510 yr my old cars got that meny chips & scratchs it needs a full respray, far to money to spend on it wauld rather put the cost of the paint job towards trading it in around november
June 30, 201510 yr Author Yeh my drivers side is covered in lots of little scratches. I just want to keep it at this level without it getting worse... hence getting the front repaired ASAP. Plus it really bugged me having the damage XD
June 30, 201510 yr Looks like they've done a good job for under £170 ,I was getting quotes over £100 to paint a boot spoiler off the car[emoji106] Unfortunately mines got a couple of decades worth of dents and scratches to sort before I even think of getting started on the paintwork

July 1, 201510 yr My friend works for chips away, he's got some pretty decent kit. They have done a good job there!
July 1, 201510 yr im constintly looking at the the imperfections & when ive finnished washing it I just look & blow the bonnit is realy bad but like I seid thers so meny bad bits wauld be easyer just to paint full car but when the paint job costs nearly has much as car is worth, it seems stupid spending that much money on it but I want to keep the car & get this year out of it might just come up with a compremise.
July 1, 201510 yr chips away are a franchise place, so depends on if the local place is any good. I used them for a dent/scratch on my old metalic black astra years ago, did a mega job, couldn't even see it once done. Was a proper old boy so i bet he's retired by now lol
July 31, 201510 yr Im looking at getting some dents taken out my rear bumper (last owner did it not me) and having my side skirts re sprayed. all done in the factory black with gold mica fleck. £200 for dents and back bumper and £100 for side skirts.
