  6. if thee body work is good & interea it looks like a nice car plus not meny around in that red, its down to the price, pudh the point of the miles on it, if it comes cheap you drop another engine in it

  12. well mate 1st off the subaru in a showroom will be way over book price better lookin on private adds, go for an older one thats been well cared for plus it will be cheaper to maintane the newer the car the more complecated thats my opinion

  15. fully agrie with david far to much money for a 55 plate im thinking of getting a fozz has a 2nd car will have it has a stand by if the outback ends up off the road I think the fozz for me is a good 2nd car can up grade it easyer then the outback plus use it for work if I need to, for a 02,,to 04 plate which wauld b the best engine to go for

  19. hi mate, I use a 3.0 h6, its 210 bhp with out over bosting about this model, its the best 6cly car ive had has a all round user, I use my car for work 6 days a week its got 164 tho on it & u wud think 64 how it drives I had a 528 e39 good car but the h6 is better I had a alfa 3.0 the h6 is better 2.9 ford h6 better, omega v6 h6 better.i was goin to get a 2.5 read a lot of forums all saying same like the ladds have all ready sed, the h6 will do or be wat ever u wany it to be I work with mine & also put some good sports cars to shame, read my content for resent stuff oh & my car is a 2002
  20. isent it just,,ill put up with doin under 70 on a motorway journey to get mpg like that.found a cheaper suplier to get the calipers from, £88 each & £40 back from old ones

I had to go up to the midlands yesterday, so it was a good chance check oht mpg, so I drove around sunday night till the car was al ost ready to konk out put dead on 5 ltrs of vpower in then went to shell to put more in monday morning got on to m5 put cruise on det at 65, & on way back let car almost konk again & I cuddent beleive it no wonder the gadge was moveing so slow I did 246 mile on exactly 6 gal of vpower I no its hard to beleive it was doing 41 mpg im shocked I expevted 33 at most so why bother with a boxer deisal when a 3.0 petrol will do that o. motorway I love the old girl even more now ordered new brakes today calipers & discs ,pads for front
  22. just dont have the time or skill to do it sam, the macanic ive resently found is worth is weight in gold just works for himself works quite cheap & realy knows his stuff not that the brakes is a big task, but I need a few other things doin so he can do them in the same labour charge

  24. well iv been away past week a familey freind died havent used forum till today,checked frount brakes thave been queeking past few days thought it was just dust turned out to pads worn on edge, due to the caliper cut long story short need new brakes pad has put grove in disc so I need all 3 if I cauld afford it id up grade but just goin to put on refurb stock calipers with new discs & pads still costing nearly £300
  25. today iI noticed one of the best looking imprezas ive ever seen it was an hawkeye in met, black with met blue wheels with black & blue intereia on a 07 plate, iI thimk, cauldedemt take a photo it was on a car sales fourcourt.asking £7.400 for it thort about £1000 to much realy, realy nice car tho.
