Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Welcome to the club. I'd highly recommend Duncan Graham @racedynamix. He mapped my car and done a brilliant job and I hear nothing but praise for him from other members. He is mainly based at Surrey rolling road but it is well worth the travel. I see you are in Greenwich, we have a couple of members local to you and we hold a monthly meet in greenhithe near Bluewater. As for power, with the mods you have I'd suggest you change to a 3 port boost solenoid (if it's UK) and upgrade the fuel pump. Just for safety. What fuel do you run on? If you use high octane like momentum 99 you will have a higher chance of good figures. Lastly, with a TD04 turbo and your set up you'll make 270-280 if it has a TD05 you could see up to 320. I'm gonna send you a pm with a few details [emoji5] 1
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Info for a wrx will be totaly different chaps. Personal i wouldn't use duncan for mapping if he paid me but each to their own.
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Go ask the question on 22b where most of the well known mappers like Andy Forrest and Paul B frequent mate, Andy F called him Dung khan after seeing some of the cars he's mapped.. He also doesnt road test after dyno mapping and you do realise that your have no insurance cover while hes mapping your car on the road if your driving it?
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I was asking about the info on a wrx not your opinion on a mapper. Everyone has bad reviews. Even for your beloved clinic.

Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 o wagon was different again, iirc that was 240bhp in stock form
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Running the reg for this car brings it up as a UK turbo 2000. So maybe we need to confirm if it's import or UK before speculating figures and modification paths.
Classic 99 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Andy f is a no lol aint going that far bud. Yeah was chatting to one of the owners couple of weeks ago guna meet u guys down there. Going to check pump n see whats in there mabe walbro already 1
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Who was you chatting to? Blue bug, carbon spoiler? [emoji12] is your car UK?
Classic 99 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Yes mate and yes a uk Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Ah k yeah that changes things then. To clarify, in the classic shape, WRX and STI are japanese import only models. Uk only had the UK turbo and P1, all the other specials like series macrae, catalunya etc were just cosmetic upgrades with optional prodrive upgrades, such as the PPP, based on the UK trubo. P1 was based on a v5 sti Type R with some of the goodies removed (such as dccd) and more sound deadening. Uk didnt get wrx and sti till the new age shape, 2001 onwards.
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 You should see the same sort of figures as I stated before hand. Pop down to our meet and we can aid you further with the collection we have.
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 O easy way to tell ont he classics if its uk or import (unless been moded of course) is none of the UK models had rear wiper
Classic 99 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 No rear wiper guys Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Can be retro fitted. single din Stereo. Momo wheel. Different interior seats and door cards. Or run the registration on a free hpi check. Comes up with turbo 2000 or it will state import.
Classic 99 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 Must be as i wasnt guna pay the nice insurance man 2000 plus for import when i can get a uk insured for 1000 lol Sent from my SM-G920F using Tapatalk
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Standard turbo is unlikley to see 300, more like 260 ish with a td04 on a classic. Thing with the first map is it make a massive difference to responce and how it drives. O would be an electric aerial on rear quarter on a wrx as well
Scoobyghost Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I'm on a UK turbo using TD04. Decat 3" turbo back. Panel filter. Rcm fuel pump. 3 port solenoid. 276hp on momentum 99 fuel. 270-280 perfectly achievable.
Classic 99 Posted October 29, 2015 Author Posted October 29, 2015 My ariel is like just ouside my window of which i need to pull out n push back in lol
Tidgy Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 It varies from car to car, I've seen one that would do more than 245bhp without detting :o Simply put not all cars achieve those figures so expect around 260 and anything else is a bonus, also varies from dyno to dyno.
