Scoobydoobydan
Yeah it's spot on, unlike the problem I had with it getting to hot after I flushed the system, but due to an airlock it's all sorted now!! where abouts are ya mate?? I see your east coast
Darren220283
Nice one thanks fella is it normal for the fan to constantly flick on and off for a few seconds a time or is this because I have the air con on. I'm at flamborough fella just down from Scarborough
Scoobydoobydan
In my V1 STI I've got 2 fans, should be the same for you..... my normal temp fan flicks on and off little and often now she's been fully flushed out, but the air con one ( left side if looking head on) only comes on with aircon on full use of air con other wise should stay off. If in doubt keep an eye on that temp gauge....
Darren220283
Ye that sounds right then I know it's had a new thermostat by the lass owner. And the needle sits just under haf way on the gauge and never moves. But the fan will flick on for five seconds or so and then flick off and then flick back on five seconds later and so on. But I dint know if this sounds normal for these types of engines thanks for the info pall
Scoobydoobydan
Don't a problem, otherwise it's a stab in the dark or panicking if your doing damage or not!!! I replaced my thermostat at the same time as upgrading the hoses / sort out the airlock for the sake of £12 for a new one... happy to help
Darren220283
Well that was going to be my next question were the best place to get samco hoses from and how much. Iv seen a lot of pics with people doing this do you judt buy a radiator set and an intercooler set they would be going on a 52 wrx sportwagon
stants
I'd give somone like www.viperperformance.co.uk or one of the good eBay sellers a look imo samos are over priced and always take ages to get a set,
Scoobydoobydan
I did some research and asked the guys on here for hoses, and Stants said viper and a few said stay clear of Samco due to cost and not lasting any longer than viper or jap speed all available on eBay in colours too

Piggysniffer
I had a little freak out when my car was doing the fan thing until I found out the ac was on
Phila67
I have noticed that if I put the blower to blow onto the windscreen, the aircon is activated automatically and the button lights up. Don't know if this is normal but I am constantly turning it off Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Scoobyghost
Remove aircon pump and pull bulb out of switch. Problem sorted [emoji12] [emoji5] [emoji23]
stants
It's fully automatic, will turn it's self off at some point when it 'sees' the inside temp/conditions are where it wants them to be, Apparently you can get into it using the free ssm software and remove the auto function

They all quickly get that tired look due to extreme temperature changes I guess...
