Ah cheers man ,, hydrotek I’ve never heard of them I will have to check them out , wouldn’t mind getting a few interior bits done , as all you have to do is look and the interior trim funny and it scratched / chips ,, I quite like the look of the zunsport lower grill but contemplating changing to the 2012 front end because my front bumper is cracked in two places and just needs a respray at least 😩 more money 🙈

but hey a few more weeks past got a few more random pics trying to get better pics of the new ride hight / alignment , but I’m no photographer haha

Got to love some Jdm goodies 🏻🔰

A Laile . Beatrush master cylinder brace

Cusco steering rack brace

and some r205 / aniversery edition black side garments / fender ornaments

managed to get the cylinder brace fitted almost strait away looking at the instructions was hopeless but after looking under the bonnet for 5 mins managed to figure it out ,,

but first I waxed it up to try and protect it , always worth doing and during installation I used plenty of wd and silicon spray to protect it ,, needed a socket set twitch a bendy head for intalation but got there in the end , gave me a good chance to get every thing cleaned up under the bonnet

I picked the beatrush one mainly to match in with the black / gold theme going on , think it looks ok ,, but for some reason the photos never upload in the order I want them too 🤦🏻‍♂

The bloke who owns hydrotek is called Chris Pringle. Unsure of his prices but can dip anything from a Xbox remote to alloys. I want a inlet manifold dipping but going to mexico next month has dampened that lol.

Looking good mate. What does the  cylinder brace achieve?

Ah nice always good to know ..haha well Mexico I think that’s worth it mate enjoy 👌🏻

The master cylinder brace brace is designed to eliminate the flex in the bulkhead and in return give a sharper more responsive brake feel , also on much older cars I’ve read reports of bulkheads failing through prolonged flexing , I think sti make a spacer and longer rod to try and stop this but is very expensive .. although on the hatch and newer braces for rhd cars are hard to come by , the Perrin , grimspeed and most others are lhd only , meaning you can only import them the main two being the liale or Cusco , think the liale worked out about £5 more expensive but much preferred the gold to the Cusco blue

Started my japfest prep yesterday , got full fluids from Opie , consisting of

Titan 5w40 Ester engine oil

motul gear 300 75w90 for the gear box and diff

and some motul 5.1 brake fluid

and some offiacl Subaru black filters from scooby parts 🙂

changed the fluids yesterday ,and fitted my Cusco steering rack brace

after a lot of swearing the bolts did finally come loose 😅 , considerably thicker than the oe unit and seems to have tightened the steering and reduced bump steer a lil bit although could be placebo .

So had a blast at japfest competing in the sprint test, struggled with my launch on all 3 runs but the car managed a low 11 second run so was competative , on one of my runs I was even faster than an r35 gtr 💪🏻

few pics from the day

yup went through this the other week - I was advised it is impacting legacy models more than imprezas but if there is an issue it is an all day job to replace teh lines as rear axle needs to be dropped and the cars interior carpet needs to come out

I went into the local dealer yesterday , Said it’s only takes ten mins to do the check, they had quite a few cars in then having checks done , lady said they don’t do anything unless it’s leaking , didn’t realise how big a job it was if they do need replacing ,, not sure I even trust the local dealer to undertake that sort of job lol
