Also I found even with my anti lift kit and arbs and braces that the car squats quite a bit under hard acceleration so I also bought some , white line rear diff inserts , will add pics when I’m fitting them , and also one of these , a white line billet pitch stop mount , which I fitted the other day

Next on my list of mods are some white line rollceter adjusters , once the coils are fitted , hopefully I’m going to get a quicker 2015 steering rack to go with them .. then some uprated whiteline lower arm braces , an uprated gearbox mount and bushings , unsure which mount to get yet but probably whiteline bushes , then eventually some whiteline rear toe rods and some aftermarket lower arms with camber adjustment either Cusco or similar with the pillow ball adjustment

Then eventually some wheels but that’s a Lil while off yet ,

quick question if anybody reading this knows , what height to the bc coils come set at , are they already lower or should I wind them down a lil bit before I try installing to save some faff

Bye bye horrible arch gap ... Sits really nice now , although struggling to get set up right recharging bump stiffness getting a lil wheel hop at the front I think need to have a play properly , would be interested to know what how hard soft other people are running their coils , I’m currently running about 4 clicks softer on the rear atm the rear is fine just the front that need sorting now.  .. there will be some more progress very soon 😬 should be a special delivery arriving from japan very soon 😛

Yes mate still reading. Do the diff inserts make a difference? Would you recommend

Yes I would say they are they remove the slop from the rear end when trying to pull away , and as they’re only the inserts you can do it yourself , not expensive either , defo a worth while investment

Well the pitch stop works well with the diff inserts , the pitch stop alone you may notice a little bit more ridgidity , I fitted mine while I was still unable to drive ,, but The car did feel more responsive to throttle input and will have reduced engine movement with no noticeable increase in noise or vibration ,

ideally tho you will want to change the gear box mount at the same time , because it transfer the load to the next place , which in this case is the trans mount , these are quite pricey a Perrin one is over £200 the group n is cheaper , , I’m going to get a group n for mine soon.

this is a good vid to watch

Also this is a good read rather long winded the guy goes on a bit haha , but the technical bit I found quite helpful once you get to it , the guy knows his stuff

http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gr-suspension-handling-stiffening/277554-how-modify-your-gr-sti-suspension.html#/topics/277554?page=1

hope im allowed to share this

for the price I think even on a standard car the diff inserts would be really good and also the rear subframe inserts are ment to be really good too , the two combined together are ment to completely transform the car the subframe inserts are next on my list , and most manufactures make both , ie Perrin , whiteline ... they’re only inserts you can diy it at home and I think whiteline say the inerts give 90% of the ridgidty of the complete replacement bushes, so for me it was a no brainer.

Hope that’s been helpful to you mate and I haven’t waffled on too much 🙈 haha

but give the link a read once you get to the good bit he talks you through step by step how to optimise what you have , it’s a good read , but he goes on a lot before lol

Yup, still reading. 😁

And looking good, I really hate arch gaps!

Terrible aren’t they 🙈 , that’s been the main thing that bugs me about these cars on the standard springs etc , it just sits far too high compared to almost every other car on the road haha

Cheers mate, this is not the most active forum so anyone who replies is good for me. I don't know anything about these cars, came from a Clio sport so I will take the knowledge I can get mate.

Been trying to find someone in Hampshire that can do a fast road race alignment on my car , so hard to find anyone who can do improved alignment , even details online are hard to come by ,
I ended up coming across TFS they know Subaru’s and most of you should’ve heard of them .. it’s booked in at TFS racing in Andover on Monday .
So they can adjust the suspension, and alignment etc , was going to get the car cornerweighed , but pointless until I get rear camber adjustment ,
Hopefully going to run similar settings to these which I found on another forum but ideal settings for a lowered hatch ,
• -2.5 ~ -3 deg caber front with roughly half on the rear ,
• reset the front caster with the adjustable bushes back to a maximum of 7 deg
• zero toe all round

should make a significant difference , what alignment settings do you guys run , I hear you need to run quite a bit more negative camber on the front , because of the mcpherson strut set up , roll the weight onto the outside edge when cornering which is bad and increases understeer

I have no idea why it can out like that 🙈😂 , used to like it a lot more when I could post with tapatalk for some reason I can’t comment with that anymore 😕 ,, but anyway I will keep undated on my journey I have complete faith that TFS are going to do a sterling job excited to get it done now 😬

So took my car up to Tfs probably on the coldest day of the year for my alignment to be done , was a bit dissapointed we couldn’t get it exactly where I wanted it cos it could’ve taken all day , so I’m just going to wait and get the car properly corner weighed at Horsham developments or abbey motorsport in the near future

a few pics

from the day

Was a really small place just him and one ramp I think his son works there too , a family business which I like , but not really what I was expecting , in all honesty I probably won’t go back which is a shame but he did a good job and no complaints really .

We achibed 2.4 front about 1.7 rear although the rear is uneven atm as the rear isn’t adjustable and we just straitened the toe out , going to get a few more parts but everything cost money unfortunately 😩

It was so so !Removed! cold don’t know if you can see the snow in the pics , and being w southerner I’m not really made for that stuff ,

the silver blob next to my car in the pic , not really to my taste but , an awesome build none the less , it was an rb powered rwd drift scooby and a few other scoobys lurking around , been quite a few months and I’ve deleted most the pics 🤦🏻‍♂ But there was a Nissan garage with 4 used 17 plate gets for me to go drool over while it was getting done 😛

then the next week the beast from the east came scooby was fine tho they live for it haha

And a bay shot for good measure 😉
