Hi everyone my name is Scott. I'm brand new member and I'm just wanting to introduce myself. I have a 1996 v-limited import 65/1000. I'm in process of restoring it and no doubt I'll be wanting plenty advice and help along the way. This project by no means will be quick and easy. Rumour has it that projects are never finished 😂 Thanks for your time everyone.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I think I'm prepared for the "project creep" 😮 I'm in the process of finding enough funds to tackle the rot that may or may not be lurking. Going to remove bumpers etc over winter and see where I stand. If anybody has any pointers or tips for me to check or inspect closer I'll be more than grateful for the advice 👍🏻

Main tin worm areas on a classic are inner rear arches where the rear bumper fixings are and where inner /outer arch meet (normally seen from behind the side boot liners) the top of rear suspension turrets collect mud and rot .

Front lower cross member and front /rear bumper bars .

I've noticed small bubble on rear arches so that will be first addressed. As I say I'll inspect inner arches with more detail when I remove some panels. Jus passed mot couple weeks ago and tester said it was very clean for classic 👍🏻 Front cross member is sound so that's great help. I'll also be checking rear suspension turrets  as I didn't know bout that 😮 It's good to know there are plenty folk out there to give some advice. I'll be needing plenty 😂
