Hi guys - new member with a problem ! Any help appreciated !

Hi all . Just joined the club and have a wee problem . I recently purchased a gc8 Subaru with a simtek Ecu which is password protected.

have left it to a few people and they can't get into it ? Any recommendations? Any suggestions will be appreciated 👍🏼

Don't suppose you've contacted the original mapper ?

Or tried speaking to simtek direct ?

The original mapper is probably your best bet.

Is it an Alcatek simtek? I've read Alcatek are difficult to get hold of.

Do these things have a reset to default settings? Would that remove the password?

Wotcha and welcome - as mentioned if you cannot get hold of mapper contact the manufacturer
