January 12, 20179 yr hello im new to this can anybody help me .i was driving along the other day at normal speed and i went to boot it a little got to 3000 rpm and the turbo feels like it starts and stops almost as if fuel coming through then stops then starts again i have not got no engine lights on at all drives fine under 3000 rmp any ideas what this can be i dnt want to spend money if i dnt need to please somebody help me !!!
January 12, 20179 yr Author im not sure but i have just brought new plugs and fuel filter as it dnt looklike its been changed in long time going to fit them tonight
January 12, 20179 yr Are they the bkr product code? They might work but certainly not the best plug you can use. A local member had to change them out becuase the car just wouldn't boost right with them. Other things to check with your boost issue would be any boost leaks in vac lines. If you recently bought it, check to see if the pill is still in place. Any mods done to it?
January 12, 20179 yr Before you go spending anything, need more info. Has it got mods, has anything changed to cause an issue or was it just fine one day then not the next?

January 12, 20179 yr It will drop when you change gear. Haven't suggested any money be spent yet. Running through the options. If plugs were going to be changed anyway best to let it be known which plugs to go for.
January 12, 20179 yr unlikley it would be the pill mentioned above. Check all the leads and pipes are connected. going on from that could be a sensor fault
January 12, 20179 yr Won't be the pill if it's recently started happening unless you've changed the vac pipes.
January 12, 20179 yr How much fuel was in the tank and did it cut out just after a right hand turn ? As scoobs are notorious for fuel sloshing in the tank and causing boost cut ,when you have under half a tank [emoji6] Search on here for "classic self ecu code check" to see if you've got any codes stored .
January 12, 20179 yr Author I have just been out to change my plug s and the first one I went to do just kept spinning going loose then tight sounded like it was rusted I was using 16 mm I knw it sounds silly but I am using right socket it's not a different 1 is it does any body knw

January 13, 20179 yr Hopefully stants isn't right and your just using the wrong socket and extension combo . As they're a pita to get to and if the thread is fubar it's probably a "remove the cylinder head job " to helicoil the thread .
