Buzzer Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 Hi just wondered if anyone knew what size rims should be on a T reg 2000 turbo subaru impreza. I seem to be having a problem which as come to light during my MOT when I but lock in to tight left hand lock my front drivers wheel is catching when I put it in a tight right hand lock it doesn't. When both wheels are straight there doesn't look to be any difference between them. So I thought I'd start with the easiest fix first. I'm wondering if there are any difference between front and rear rims ie the offset of the centre hub.?
Mattb Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I've got standard 16" rims on mine and they are fine on either lock. I assume they are aftermarket wheels you have, what size are they?
Buzzer Posted January 30, 2017 Author Posted January 30, 2017 17s they where on the car when I bought it genuine subaru ones
Mattb Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 17s and they rub? Seems strange. What's the tyre size on your wheels?
Sirspidey Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 I'm no expert but, it sounds like something is might be out of alinement. Have you had a look at all suspension arms, springs etc ?
Rps Posted January 30, 2017 Posted January 30, 2017 My old classic had 18s on and lowered 40mm and didnt rub?
quit Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 If off a newage with 225 tyre they will rub 215 is max you can run without issues
Scoobyghost Posted January 31, 2017 Posted January 31, 2017 Offset matters a lot more than diameter at 16" and 17"
