Michael_W Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me with this one. I have a 2006 WRX SL with 67000 miles on the clock, the car is in good condition and has been regularly serviced but im noticing that at low revs the car feels a little bit jerky and almost hesitant during light acceleration but if i floor it the car flies without any problems. I was thinking this could either be spark plugs/leads or injectors but im only guessing here. Has anyone else had similar issues and knows how to fix it????
Linx Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 The only time I had something similar was when the throttle cable needed oiling. Sent from my HTC Desire 530 using Tapatalk
stants Posted June 20, 2017 Posted June 20, 2017 Could be plugs, have you tried resetting the ecu so it 're learns' the fueling . What fuel are you using ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Michael_W Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 I haven't reset the ECU, im not sure this is the way forward as it would be potentially hiding a problem rather than fixing it. I try to always run it on super unleaded

Probably the easiest thing to try first...
Michael_W Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 That was the first thing i tried and it didn't make a difference

Michael_W Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 I will be able to swap the plugs, although im guessing this isn't a 5 minute job on a flat 4

stants Posted June 21, 2017 Posted June 21, 2017 Have you checked the 3cu for any old codes ? What I ment was if you reset the ecu and a problem arises it would then show a code if they had been cleared, Could also be maf or 02 sensor dying Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk 1
Michael_W Posted June 21, 2017 Author Posted June 21, 2017 I have not checked for any old codes, I've code an OBD that i use with the torque app on my phone but it only shows current fault codes. I will have a play this evening and see if it makes any difference.
W444AJD Posted June 22, 2017 Posted June 22, 2017 have a wee look at this thread, had a similar issue with mine - although its a non turbo...
Seminole81 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Have you done any mods to it by any chance? Mine was over fuelling in the upper revs and I was getting jerks etc. on my STi.
Piggysniffer Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 Get yourself a vag com cable and get romraider on your laptop so you can log your car and see exactly what's going on 1
Scoobyghost Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 I'd recommend any info you log gets sent to a professional. If you don't have a lot of experience with logging or the deeper levels of tuning you may mis-interept the information.
Piggysniffer Posted June 24, 2017 Posted June 24, 2017 At the very least post it up on here, just log don't try flashing yet lol, you wanna see what your fuel trims are doing and what your knock correction and IAM and afr's are doing to start with
