An extra few hundred on comparing sites. I'm going to try places that do club discount. It's unbelievable full no claims as well 😲

Jamie_uk
Strange, my renewal is coming round mid September so will see if my shoots up As well. Only cost £50 inc fee to change to a 2000 turbo and £37 to insure non turbo for 28 days. Sure they just pick numbers out a hat
Guest
I'm going to ring them, it's strange tho because ever since I've had the sport they can never find it by it's reg it comes up as a legacy or a wrx
Mark D
I'm with Hastings. If you've made some changes, they will shop around for the cheapest with those changes applied, when renewal time comes they just keep you with the same company. You could try calling them to see if they could make it cheaper by asking them if they could use same details (if nothing's changed) and if they could search through their list of insurance companiesSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Guest
I'm going to ring as it just seems so much of an increase. Tescos are the cheapest so far. Just trying to reduce all out goings 👍
Jimmymac101
Do not go with tesco! worst ever for claims and will not pay out at all if they dont have to! just look at there reviews :( wish i had they were awful when i needed them. Ive found admiral and elephant excellent when it comes to insurance on my non turbo hatch :) i pay £74 month ..... 5yrs NCB, 25yrs old, 7years full license, 1 crash and cancelled/voided insurance. As above comments say shop around to high heavens to get best deal :) James

But still shopping around 👍
Mark D
Some companies have a maximum amount of years to where no claims bonuses are added, so 18 years will give you the same discount as 9 or so years Sent from my iphone using Tapatalk
Jamie_uk
Just got my renewal through for September surprised since usually get it 3 days before they try to take auto payment. Did a quick quote about fortnight ago before buying the classic said 795... renewal today, 895... exactly the same insurance details and Hastings cover level on both. Utter lunacy sure they just get the numbers from how much coke they sniffed that day
Jamie_uk
Refreshed the quote £731 now lol must be a bad supplier day at the office

Mark D
Refreshed the quote £731 now lol must be a bad supplier day at the office With the renewal they just keep they same insurance company, if by refreshing you mean calling them and rechecking, then guess it could be cheaper because one has a better no claims discount? I pay about £35ish a month for a 2001 2.5NA legacy, 31 years old. Don't really know how many months I'm paying for the year so don't know how much per year without looking for it! Was about £60 ish, renewal was around the same, but that was the best insurer they found for my previous details. Had to call up and get them to search around to bring it back down. Guest
I'm paying 35 at no, gone up to 66. No changes either 😑 I wouldn't care but she's just a sluggish sport if she were the turbo I'd not mind. Ah well

Bought the car now Hastings renewal has come through post and it's 895. Had saved the compare the market quote I did and changed the start date for the insurance, came back with 735. All prices are Hastings premier, same extras same address same job etc etc etc
