gemlp82 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 I've just had my car dropped off after having the alloys done. When I dropped it off to them it had the Subaru badges on each alloy but its come back without them. Should they have been able to put them back on?
Mattb Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 Done as in refurbished? They should have unless they damaged them taking them out. I’d ring them to see where they are.
Mattb Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 If they are damaged and you need new ones you might need to get them sprayed black as new ones come silver or primed. Unless you find someone who paints them to order. Good luck 1
GeoffLeggy Posted April 21, 2018 Posted April 21, 2018 @gemlp82 plenty on eBay in alsorts if you need 1
gemlp82 Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 Thanks both. I phoned and they had them. They also wanted me to take it back to get the wheel nuts tightened more as they said they dropped it off before it had chance to cool and couldn't tighten them properly. Problem solved!
Jay762 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Where did you go as looking at these chaps in Dudley for a couple of jobs? https://wheelfurb.com/ 1
gemlp82 Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 Kford alloys close to Pensnett trading estate. It was £55 per wheel . http://www.kingswinfordalloys.co.uk/contact/
Jay762 Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Got you thanks - they are closer, will take a bimble over 1
gemlp82 Posted April 25, 2018 Author Posted April 25, 2018 Was it your hatch I saw a kford alloys earlier in the week when I popped back @Jay762or another local?
Jay762 Posted April 26, 2018 Posted April 26, 2018 Grey R sport (no scoop) and might have been if there were no spaces at Fort Knox out front.... Fortunately it is not the scoob alloys that need work - just splashed on some OZ's to replace x3 pot hole bent originals - looking at getting those fixed but didnt know how extensive the damage was before sourcing new ones Running these now so can be recognised
gemlp82 Posted April 26, 2018 Author Posted April 26, 2018 Yes that was the one I saw. Those alloys will look good on it!! Bet it was painful when pot holes damaged the old ones though. I'll look out for you and give you a flash if I see you about! 1
Jay762 Posted April 27, 2018 Posted April 27, 2018 Yup holes are getting ridiculous - KFord tyres reckon they can sort the alloys at £45 a corner as they were not cracked, they have bought a new machine purely because of the amount of damage they were seeing coming in. Likewise ill keep an eye out 1
