whats happened to my gear stick

so just went to change my gear knob and found this, looks like the end has snapped off and they've glued it back on, the end bit is glued into the gearknob, do i need a new gear stick

Guess it was just a bodge fix thats failed again.

Just need the shaft bit. Short shifter might be a nice little upgrade

Handy with a die kit ? Could always just cut a new thread & buy a new gearknob
