August 16, 20214 yr Hello guys, I am new here and I own a 2005 Impreza 2.5RS Sport. 128k miles. Unfortunately the car is an automatic. I want to get an 05 sti front clip w/ motor, trans, and subframe. From what I have gathered to do a swap I would need... Sti sub frame Sti dohc motor Manual trans Linkages Ecm Harness Hood Am I missing anything? What is the deal with swapping the subframe? Would I be better off in price comparison with keeping the sohc motor, my subframe, and just turbocharging it? I do have a daily driver so this is my project. August 16, 20214 yr Wotcha and welcome - looks like you have the full list of items there, may be missing a couple of sensors that the new loom would attach to. WRT the adding turbo to existing setup you would need to check your piston setup, compression ratio etc as I believe the NA engines run higher compression. A turbo block will have all that correct from the start

August 27, 20214 yr Looking at some of the parts for sale in the US (quite jealous) why not keep it NA but drop a 6 pot in there from an Alcyone (SVX)? form there you could ad a raptor supercharge kit - bolt on instant 300+ bhp?
