Jay762 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 28 bids - will be interesting to see what it goes for - dont quite know where the porsche engine comes from unless its an early flat 6? pity the pictures are so small
Gambit Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Nice little find. And I agree the pictures are well too small, Guessing it's the 6 cylinder Boxer engine sorry didn't read the listing I just went to look at the pictures :D
Jay762 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 just read more detail I didnt know cosworth did gaskets for porsche engines?
tom_gr7 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 well I don't know a great deal about engines (PC's are my thing) but that car looks very very nice.
Jay762 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I think the early 2.5l boxsters were only running about 200 bhp because I remember we were having a bit of a giggle about a mates tuned Nova GTE having more BHP at the time
Jay762 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 The car is a peach - we had a member sell an immaculate example of one last year - kidneys and children were offered but unfortunately it was a cash only deal :D 1
Scooby Pete Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Also why would you need a Subaru approved remap for a Porsche engine? Think the ads got some billy bullish!t in it.
Gambit Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 We always use to say the Porsche Boxster was the poor man's Porsche I know they're not that quick lad has a red one near me he flies around all the time in it. until he see's me then keep well back behind me or slows down as he goes past. And Jays right I loved simons RB320 not even my kids in part ex with a 55 plate blobeye could seal the deal :(
quit Posted February 13, 2014 Author Posted February 13, 2014 It's a mistake he heard boxer engine and immediately thought Porsche Sounds like a Lemon to me 1
Jonny b Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 **** spelling in an advert ιs always a no no for me!
Gambit Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 wat u meen noting wong wit bad spelling :) And i don't let it put me off I've seen enough of my own just on this forum :D
gary88ross Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Like matt says hes heard boxer and thought boxster lol 1
Gambit Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 My 1st thought now not a Subaru enthusiast then :)
Jay762 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Optional rear wheel drive? I'd missed that bit
wrightsterrrr Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Must be some sort of a dealer as they are selling quite a few other cars. picture size is rather lovely though eh
Jonny b Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Yeh my spellings bad enough but surely if your selling something for that kind of money you'd make a bit more of an efffort! I would anyway loll
Jay762 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 If it is a dealer they should sort the whole advert out, spelling, pictures, correct spec - the lot
