Jay would be ideal to go with you if you can cover the cost and as said would give you the chance to get further a field. Or like matt said train I've done that before I went with a mate he wanted to tag along which I didn't mind. :D

I've spoken to the guy about the chiigwell one. He said there's slight dent in boot, clutch bites high but would take £1670 said it gets warmed up and down and run on super unleaded

My clutch bites high , fluid change is needed most likely

U can get a replacement blue boot for about 40 quid , there was one with a sti spoiler for 60 !

I love mica blue tho

It's a rear passenger door btw not boot. What kind of power do you think or 0-60 should I expect from it? Realistically

Pretty quick lol they are light anyway

Seems a lot of money for a s reg car. I really was set on a bug eye but there's nothing out there

Looks good , I prefer the classic but know what you mean

This is what he said Dear ilovelance1,

Hi,

Thanks for the mail.

As far as I'm aware it is working fine.

There are no clutc,h turbo, clunks bangs or rattles or smoke. There are a few squeaks and from the interior but mechanically ok.

The brake pads squeak a little when reversing when cold that's about it.

According to the history the cam belt was done at 110k.

Sorry to be blunt but the price is to sell at 1700. No more offers. I have had loads of time wasters over the last few weeks. (Its is the cheapest on ebay of its type.)

Despite the cosmetic issues and mentioned in the ad it is very clean and a good example. I looked at loads of **** ones before I bought this.

No delivery sorry. If you are interested then you will have to come and look at it.

Any questions let me know.

Cheers Mike.

so di mate but it's a risk . I know cars lose about 1.5 bhp a year if not looked after . Also a car with over 100,000miles I'm scared to be honest as most of these have been thrashed

I don't think it's bad, the spoiler wouldn't worry me I'd only get rid for an STI version spoiler anyway. from the pictures it all looks clean and tidy. The fact he won't come down on the price could be a good thing. mileage I've seen people at near 200k miles without engine rebuilds had someone sign up last year that was pushing 185k miles from new. But know what you mean I have a thing about cars with 100k miles on scares me :D

The red bug wrx does look clean - reading the ad does seem like an older chap who shopped around before hand - you can get the alloys looking brand new for £250 (dependant on colour) up Tipton.

Spoiler - do as Gambit says or get it blown over - either way not a huge cost.

One point though you are not going to get a 50k FSH rust free classic or bug wrx for £1500 these cars get driven if they dont they get cherished have few miles on them and command upwards of 4k

Yeah most have had a decent but hard life , but they are strong cars

!Removed! knows usual insurance ******

You was worried about 99 plate , that's 3 years older buddy

Did you try through our insurance, should get a 15% discount on it too being a club member :)

http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/insurance/

But to be fair one thing I will never understand is the pricing of insurance. If I didn't know better I'd have said the bankers or the government are behind it.

I'm 28 , 6 points , 3k a year policy , 2 years Ncb. ( had big gap as I got a company car )

Pay 400 ish quid a year

Just looked at the ad - just what is an STI NOT Turbo??

you will need to do some phoning around for insurance - start with Gambits recommendation and go from there, going on compare the market etc isnt necessarily going to get you very far, need a specialist broker

They might ask you about your performance car history too

I'm just going to wait for the right bug eye.

The insurance is cheap and they're quick. There a few really nice ones but they wanting £2500 and won't go down to £2100

I'll go and look at that red one Saturday I think in Wigan
