Scooby Pete Posted August 9, 2014 Posted August 9, 2014 Have to say these transform the car. Easy to fit if you take your time and use a hair dryer. Here they are on Black.
salsa-king Posted August 23, 2014 Author Posted August 23, 2014 still got a few sets left... got more coming too I've got them on eBay... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-STi-Hatch-2008-on-rear-light-red-overlays-ONE-set-/291210952404?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru&hash=item43cd867ed4 £30 delivered, if not on eBay contact me via ScoobyNet/SOC/SIDC etc to see if I've still got some. I have them shipped regularly so should have some ;)
R4WLV Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Any pics of the mica blue, pick my car up on Friday, it had been sat under a tree and there is mold around the tails, inside I think. Also mine still has the red (rear fog?) on the right hand side. Do you ever get the whole smoked version?
Jay762 Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 the light units on the hatch are easy to remove you will need to get in with some cotton wool buds they are not water tight though so dont immerse them in a bucket of water, you might want to look at removing teh spoiler - also an easy job - to clean behind that as well. I have a thread somewhere with pics of removal
Scooby Pete Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Also mine still has the red (rear fog?) on the right hand side. Do you ever get the whole smoked version? I've never seen smoked lenses, the only option I've seen is for the clear Fog light replacement like mine and Salsa's, means you need a red LED bulb to use it.
R4WLV Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 I mean smoked overlays not lamp units. And by whole I meant without the reverse and fog cut outs. Found a pic now: http://m.ebay.com/itm/160696035944?cmd=VIDESC&gxo=true
Scooby Pete Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Ahhh I see now :D Can't say I've noticed them on any HB Scoobs, and I know Salsa's supplier does carry them in stock. They also have a red overlay with smoked insert for the smaller lenses.
R4WLV Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Cool, just waiting for a local vinyl shop to get back to me about doing them in transparent vinyl. Think it's Hexis C4000. That they use. 30 delivered is a really good price but I'd probably mess the job up lol If they don't do the Hexis stuff, I'll ask Salsa if he can get me the smoked ones next time he makes an order, then get wrapwerx to fit them for me!
Scooby Pete Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 It took me two tries to do mine, but that's because I used a heat gun the first time which is far too aggressive. Second time used a hairdryer and it worked like a dream, start with the smaller lens 1st so you can get used to how it works and you'll be fine :)
salsa-king Posted October 20, 2014 Author Posted October 20, 2014 they are easy to do if you take your time and use a hair drier :) a second pair of hands is so much better too.
R4WLV Posted October 25, 2014 Posted October 25, 2014 Ok so the vinyl place is ignoring my message. Next time you order, could you please get a set of the light smoked overlays for me? As I pictured above (post 31) not the ones with the cut outs in. Thanks. Mart. 1
salsa-king Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 next order (won't be for a bit though) I'll order you a set. 1
R4WLV Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Thanks Salsa, no rush, think I've spent enough this month, new car, road tax, insurance!
salsa-king Posted October 28, 2014 Author Posted October 28, 2014 road tax is a bugga.. least insurance is good. Less than the road Tax anyway :) 1
salsa-king Posted March 24, 2015 Author Posted March 24, 2015 i've now got smoked overlays as well as red.. search eBay :)
R4WLV Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Have you not managed to get any of the ones I wanted yet?
R4WLV Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 If you take a look at the pic I posted for you before (post 31 I think it was) these aren't what I wanted. I didn't want cutouts.
R4WLV Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I mean the holes in the middle for the reverse/fog lights. I wanted all the lenses to be completely smoked.
salsa-king Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 I'm ordering the FULL smoked overlays this weekend, so how many do you want? I mean smoked overlays not lamp units. And by whole I meant without the reverse and fog cut outs.Found a pic now: http://m.ebay.com/itm/160696035944?cmd=VIDESC&gxo=true I'm ordering you a set this weekend, how many do you want? ;)

Scooby Pete Posted April 11, 2015 Posted April 11, 2015 Use a hair dryer and not a heat gun is the best advice I can give.

salsa-king Posted April 11, 2015 Author Posted April 11, 2015 Ok cool, how much are they going to be please?
