Japspeed / Toyosports Turbo Back Decat System????
Miggs replied to seanaldo1987's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Still a hellova bargain, I've been told running the bung (dummy as my neighbour calls it) all the time your risking blowing the turbo due to too much back pressure, I know a guy that always runs his on the daily commute and removes it when going to shows and stuff, if you drive gently it's fine, it's when your going on full boost for spirited driving it gets risky I've been told this by a guy who knows a fair bit about scooby and I have never run mine all the time but not sure how accurate the info is -
Having removed the pulleys of an engine I can say that some of them can be weighty, with lighter pulleys the engine will rev up quicker and you can gain up to 15 ponies with the right setup, theflywheel is worth lightening too if you get a nnew clutch I'd look at buying a lightened and balanced flywheel ready for when you put the clutch in

I'm not sure tthere's much you can do to be honest, a mate of mine has his shares, national insurance number and loads more all available on the net due to a screw up with the company he has the shares with, he complained and they said although they had removed the initial ***** up the files were copied over to another server and they couldn't get rid of them altogether, I'd contact the company that owns the premises you work from or the people it was bought off and see if they can make your info private, I was only looking as you didn't put any contact info up so if somebody wanted to contact you they wouldn't be able to other than looking on here which isn't always possible Didn't mean to upset you, was just being helpful to others

i don't take no !Removed! of coppers, i know my rights and i know the law, sometimes more than the officers, i have been pulled numerous times for doing illegal things, each time driven away with nothing but a !Removed! off copper in my rear view, it pays to know what you can and can't get away with, simple things like your response when you get pulled, when the copper asks, do you know why i pulled you over, this usually means he has no proof of what you were doing and is relying on you admitting to what you did, just say you don't know and you can usually get away with it, if it's not a traffic car they don't have a calibrated speedo so can't prove what your actual speed was, nor is there a camera to record your actions

that's quality, whats it made from?

same here, never been but i'm sold on that description, will have to take the wife round to that for our next hols, and make sure i take my camera charger with me, went to disney land last year and half way through the holiday the battery dided in the camera. no probs i though i'll charge it when i get back to the hotel, i brought the bit you put the battery in but not the lead to connect it to the power did a similar thing when me and Dogma went to an invite only sprint day, took the camera, was pressing the button but no pics, looked at the screen and theres no memory card installed
-
yup same here, too warm for doing owt at all
-
i've been stalking you, that's what them funny smear marks are on your windows in the morning just a quick net search for info on the garage, i have phone numbers, emails, account holders the full monty, it's scary what you can find on the net
-
if they are too tight under the arches you could roll the arches to get a bit more clearance, suspension is a doddle to take and and refit, can all be done in a few hours, i swapped my 2 pots for 4 pots and discs all at the same time, i found it easier to remove the disc, caliper and carrier all as one unit and fit the new stuff the same way
-
right, i'll try this again, i was half way through typing a reply and the laptop crashed yeh Andy Carr and Andy Forrest both have the same reputation and along with it the waiting list too the TD04 info is exeactly what i have been informed too and the TD05 is not much more dependant on how far you wanted to take it, my mates got a bug that's running a hybrid turbo, can't remember what exactly it's got but he's up to 418bhp so far and wants 500, trouble is he's busted one gearbox already and has fitted 2 brand new exedy clutches and fried them both, that's with progressive power mapped in rather than full on boost at launce, he's now fitting a HKS tripple plate clutch (£1500) and a 6 speed gearbox that's costing more than my cars worth lol it's all food for thought if your wanting mega power it comes with mega money lol
-
or Adam, Iqbal or even Nicola lol
-
would you be Calum then by chance?
-
welcome aboard fella, whats the company called? i assume MD performance? is that left hooker with the cleaned bay in your avatar yours?
-
no worries pal, glad to be of help, i found the chirp on my sigma was the best feature, it meant i didn't have to look at the car when locking it, Dogma has activated the chirp on his too, my current car is not a sigma and doesn't have a chirp, i really want a new alarm

Japspeed / Toyosports Turbo Back Decat System????
Miggs replied to seanaldo1987's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
hope it works out for you fella -
fair do's, i'm not going to argue because that does sound plausible and i'm not 100% it's for all scooby's, i just assumed all the ej20 equipped cars would be the same, i suppose with the later cars the ecu's will have had the benefit of tried and tested things with classics for all the years mines a classic and it benefits from a 3.5" straight through system from turbo back there is onlt the back box to restrict and even that's straight through which is then there the boost controller turned up a tad, an HKS fuel cut defender to stop the standard ecu from killing fuel supply at full boost and it boosts at over 1.3bar, not sure how much over as the gauge stops at 1.3 due to it being a version 3 i can't just slap a map in there, i need either a piggy back ecu or standalone management, something i didn't know until i bought it :( you could while having it mapped get the MAF taken out so theres no future issues with it going !Removed! up do you have a mapper in mind to do it for you? http://www.teamcarr.net/ i have heard nothing but praise for this man, he does live mapping to suit the driver to not just a generic map
-
here you go https://www.gov.uk/tinted-vehicle-window-rules as it says you can be given a prohibition notice not to use the car BUT this is only if the tints have been correctly measured
-
as said it's not illegal just frowned upon due to the glare, with black you can go as dark as you like on the rear windows, the front door windows need to allow 70% light through, bear in mind if you get a 30% tint film it will take you over the legal limit as you have factory tints too, not sure on the percentage of factory tint on the impreza, the windscreen has to let 75% light through, this means you can cover a certain amount top or bottom with the touring car style strips if you want to, you could also put tint film on the whole windscreen provided it was light enough if you get pulled and asked to remove it at the side of the road as them to prove it's too dark, afaik only traffic police have the gizmos to check and een then it's not all of them, they can't force you to remove it there and then they can just give you a producer style ticket to go to the mot station and get it stamped to say the fronts are now legal, i had very dark smoke tints on the fronts when i bought it and as i had a few other illegal mods i didn't want to be noticed so much with the front tints so i removed them
