  1. Yea thatd be good for me, could do with a quick fill up before setting off so that's spot on.
  2. I've still no idea where this Lidl actually is. I've checked in Google maps and on Lidls own website and neither show one there?? Stants - ended up getting the Hero 3 white edition. A mate convinced me I will want to be able to take the camera out of its housing and will regret getting the other when Amazon had it for only £50 extra.
  3. I can make it! So what time are we setting off Ash, and where we meeting? Also, on the subject of taking video, how do I blur out the licence plates on it?
  4. That does look nice and shiney! May have to try some of that Dodo stuff myself. Mine isn't getting a clean haha. I did it last weekend and even though it's not moved all week its managed to pick up a layer of dust and by time I get to Whitby and back it'll be a right mess again.
  5. Sorrreeee. mfnick 2003 Impreza Blue
  6. I may have to back out... I overspent on one of those damn GoPro's and not sure I can afford it now. Will know better on Friday when I've been paid. If I can make it have we decided on a time we're meeting you at J44 Stants? And Ash - are we having a tiny convoy up or just go separately since it's only boring motorway driving? Good news if I can make it though is that since I now have a GoPro Ill be able to get some video footage of us driving and slightly better quality photos. :)
  7. They tried but wouldn't pay enough. I was as shocked as you I'm sure. One second I was making my way to the first corner, the next I teleported back to the start line and got assaulted from behind...
  8. Haha was that one the first race which we restarted? That was the only time it did that teleport lag thing for me all night. Proper destroyed my car too, had no idea what happened lol.
  9. Damn, was I making it lag for everyone??
  10. Hmm, wonder if it's my connection instead then? Did come up with a "weak connection" message at the bottom of the screen a couple of times. But I also remember having similar issues with my standard 360 headset (quality wise) and when I eventually got the wireless one it was a revelation - crystal clear in comparison.
  11. Good fun tonight, enjoyed those races. Need to play this a lot more that's for sure, not really touched it. My level 28 compared to all you lot over level 200 proves that lol. What headset do you guys use? I've only got the one that came with the console and couldn't even hear you guys until after the first race and I'd unplugged and plugged it back in a few times. Even after that it was really choppy and couldn't make out most of the conversations making it difficult to get involved :( First time using the F1 car too - mental!
  12. I'll be there tonght. Just checked for patches - good job I did. Another console update at 250mb. Failed twice but got there in end. !Removed! hate this console compared to 360! But all ready now.
  13. Like Stants has said, it's not really difficult but the time and cost is substantial. Surely the insurance will cost just as much having a sport with a WRX engine as it will to just have a WRX Impreza. Maybe even more since its a "mod".
  14. I can do Whitby on the 22nd. I'll go almost anywhere actually lol
  15. Ah yea, must have always loaded the + version. Can't find a good comparison between it an the basic one though apart from the 3 can be removed from its housing making it a lot smaller and pocket sized. Don't know if that's worth £50+ more...
  16. Which is the £180 one Stants? The others I've seen have been a huge jump up in price - talking £250+ I'm not that bothered about all the features either really. Just going on a lot more group road trips now and want to be able to film them - like the Wales one I was on recently and the up coming Buttertubs Pass. So as long as it can film them in good quality and it can pick up the burble and pops and bangs I'm happy. :) I was going Go Pro too as it has such a good reputation. I've been burnt too many times going for cheaper or slightly more expensive but feature packed alternatives and them ending up being rubbish or a pain to use in comparison.
  17. Yea sounds like a dud battery that Gambit. On more than one occasion I've not run mine for 2 weeks and it's still started at the first turn as well. That was over Winter too and we know how much batteries don't like cold weather. Good to hear your charging problem is sorted Ash.
  18. Has anyone got any footage using a GoPro Hero - the 2014 entry level £100 version? With sound taken from recording? Im thinking of buying one would just like to see some examples of what it's like from anyone on here if possible.
  19. Yea, I've heard that's a common problem with the newage engines - which yours has in it if I remember rightly? That's why youll see a lot of bugs and blobs running with side lights on even in bright sunshine. That should be all it is. Like I say, heard of this problem a lot.
  20. I'd be up for that. Worth setting up a new thread for?
  21. I'll be on tonight, will be late and won't have the tune so will just use the standard version but only racing for to laugh if that ok :). Will hopefully be able to join properly next time.
  22. Yep, definitely decided I'm going now. Got a couple of people from the Wales meet I just went on to join too. Should be good. Reckon you'll make it?
  23. This was brilliant, anyone that could have come that didn't you missed out big time. The organisers managed to swindle a lap on the go Kart track with out cars at the meeting point then we had some amazing drives on some amazing roads. The weather was perfect as well. Nice cold air for the engines but also nice and sunny with no rain. The routes were brilliant with some amazing scenery. Great bunch of people. Can't recommend these meets enough, very well organised. Some pics - https://www.facebook.com/nick.foulstone.18/media_set?set=a.433797420103326.1073741830.100004192154481&type=3 Wales is a beautiful. Great scenery and the roads are better kept than ours. Really nice and twisty and they haven't been ruined by 50 limits and speed cameras yet. I'll definitely be visiting again :)
  24. Great job with the roof Matt. Looks great :)
  25. Afraid so mate. Sponges rub the dirt and grit into the paintwork whether new or not. Microfibre cloths and lamb wool mitt ( :) ) lift the crap away from the paint and can be reused. And as has been said before the people 2 bucket method is to have one with water to collect the crap and the other has nice clean soapy water to wash the car with without putting grit and dirt back onto the car. Works best with those bucket grit catches too. Sorry to sound a **** with it but it definitely helps the paintwork hold up and I noticed a definite improvement in scratches and swirls when polishing after using these methods.
