  1. For some reason I don't like the colour for the summer wheels, they look really nice and understand why people like them just not my taste for some reason. I'm fond of a dark purple though, something completely different to most and not too brash, something like this http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff125/monarrez03/SCIC11-22PhotoShoot63.jpg But maybe not as bright. Something flatter. Maybe like below. http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j37/dc2james/purple001.jpg
  2. An interior room might be a good idea. I will also do a small write up of the install when I get to it.
  3. Thanks for the advice and patience seems to be the key as with painting and sanding. I have one other criteria which I forgot, I need to be able to get the tablet out. My basic plan was to move everything as stated in the original post. Then use a case that I buy as a base for my work, basically have a backing plate the size of the hole with the case integrated into it to, using something like the case in the link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Universal-Leather-Stand-Case-Cover-For-7-7-Inch-Tab-Android-Tablet-PC-/360817066771?pt=UK_MobilePhones_MobilePhonesCasesPouches&var=&hash=item54025f8313 I would take the folding part off and just have the backing plate, and extend it to fill the hole. I would then have a mount in the dash board which I can remove the tablet from and it would be set back a bit keeping some glare off it hopefully, also wouldn't have to use any filler with luck and would have minimal cutting of the dash. Wouldn't look as sleek or well integrated as yours Tlag but would do what I needed and wanted and for very little money.
  4. Well I have got a nice cheap 7" tablet for nav and music and looking to install in in the centre console. The basic plan is to move the cigarette lighter somewhere (not decided yet) take the little draw thingy out, move the single din unit down to where the draw and cigarette lighter were. Then move the 'Bright', headlight level, and headlight washer button to the blanks around the handbrake cable. The tablet isn't a perfect size for the gap however which is where my question comes in. It is about 0.5cm to tall and a 1cm to narrow when laying on the side. Whats the best way to cut the dash for the height? (What tools to get and all that.) Was thinking of making a mounting bracket to go on the back of the unit that was the correct size so the narrowness isn't the issue. Any ideas are welcome especially on the tools, never really worked on an interior before.
  5. Hill - your wheels look nice but not the colour for me I don't think but is close Dave - I agree about the orange and green, something for mucking about with in my opinion, but not for everyday.
  6. I managed to do all 4 wheels for about £20 of primer, colour and clear coat, and that was three or four layers of each on each wheel. Was just a cheap old standard silver and nothing special and turned out fairly nicely.
  7. Bright green or orange would be something I would put on a second set of wheels, don't want anything that bright. Will probably go with something darker, was unsure about the white myself seems to look ok on some silver cars but not all. Being a student I will be doing it myself to save on labour, have done it before and not much to it really just a lot of time and more sanding.
  8. I do love a caterham, always planned to buy one when I could, hopefully in a year or two. Something for rwd fun. And complete opposite character to the Scooby. Looks like a fun weekend, will have to convince the gf that it would make a nice weekend away up there, unfortunately she likes the warmth...
  9. So thinking of refurbing these and painting white, thoughts?
  10. Samsung get my vote, had a S3, Note 1, Note 10.1 and all absolutely brilliant. Had an iPhone 3gs and 4s and thought they were both absolutely awful, battery life is absolutely terrible, even though other batteries get worse with time you can just replace them easily. Also found the fact that you can only use apple software (which is **** at the best of time) really annoying. But that's my little rant over. I would do as Stanton says, go to a consumer goods group, if you can prove that it is a common problem and therefore a defect that happened before purchase then you have some hope. May not have been worth arguing over a £25 exhaust but might be worth some effort on a phone worth a few hundred.
  11. Sanded, filled, sanded filled the holes from the spoiler.... Nearly ready for paint now thankfully so not much more sanding to do.
  12. Welcome mate, big fan of sleepers myself. Getting used to the side engines is easy enough, just don't expect spark changes to take less than 10 minutes a side once you have the hang of it!!!
  13. Been watching this with interest since the beginning and glad to see its sorting itself out nicely and you have got some people on your side. My knowledge of insurance law is limited but I believe they have to pay to put you back in the same circumstances you were in before when it's not your fault. So seems to be a good ending at the moment. Keep us updated.
  14. Gaulson - Yes it is the one you sent me, sounds nice but haven't been out in it yet!!! Took some modification to fit but got there in the end, used none of the piping with it so have all that leftover at the moment.
  15. Finally fitted the pod filter, sounds nice. And finished the filling and sanding the holes left from the spoiler, then ordered paint so should be done in the next couple of weeks.
  16. How did it go? Did theh put up a fuss? And is car working now?
  17. Pommy replied to Pommy's topic in Subaru Impreza Club
Thank mate, will give it a look later today.
  18. Whats the paint code for my car if anyone knows? Or how to find out, need some touch up paint.
  19. Hill - Replied, The other thing I can do right now is sell them out right, I have found a set which I could buy and get in the next couple of days but from a car being broken so the seller isn't looking for swaps. It would take around a week for me to get around to posting them though so please bear that in mind.
  20. Nigel - That is annoying as I am in the same situation, my only car and need it throughout the week for work. That's what makes it challenging to sell at the moment. Ash - I have some leather wipes which I use regularly and have a strict no food or animals in the car.
  21. Not interested in the wheels, just the breaker as I live in Bradford atm
  22. Thanks mate, in no rush at the moment with my exams coming up but if not any interest by the middle of May i will start looking at breakers.
  23. Looking at selling or swapping my seats for a standard cloth ones, at the moment I don't let dog in car because I don't want him scrathing or tearing seats and worry every time I load something, or as can be seen in the photo's i have to place any tools very carefully; will get more photos tomorrow, although all the bad bits can be seen in these photos as the rears are in perfect condition and look very unused. The front drivers has the usual side bolster wear and there is the general use to the passenger seat. Looking for offers around £250, although this is just a guess looking at ebay prices so please tell me if overpriced or underpriced. Shipping, collection, or swapping can be organised with interested party. Any questions please comment or message me Thanks
  24. Which breaker was this?
  25. Full service history is most important in my opinion, assuming everything looks ok visually and drives ok. And as they say knowledge is power so best to make a well informed decision.
