Tappets?
when was the last time it was serviced, and whats the current mileage ? has it had a rebuild and is it down on power ?, cause the video is short in length its hard to tell, but could be just very noisy tappets which classics are known for or worst case it could be the crank, and it got noisy just as the revs where dropping.

Not a Scooby, Zetec S 1.7 Puma Imperial blue
Ford fiesta zetec s in imperial blue. The current mileage is 119561. It has MOT til September and is taxed til the end of march. As you can see from the pictures it's had quite a bit of work done since I've owned it. Modifications are as follows: Gmax lowering springs 35mm front 40mm rear 1.7 puma engine 4-2-1 sportex manifold heat wrapped Magnet system with cobra back box Been mapped by puma speed De-tangoed headlights also fly eyed 6000k HID kit Air filter Puma gear knob Ford printed matts Sparco pedals Gel overlays all round Escort RS turbo seats TRS 4 point harnesses Omex rev limiter and launch control Sony head unit Smoked rear lights ST24 alloys in a custom grey with pink lip Toyo proxy 4 tyres all round 12.5 mm axle spacers on rear Power flex bushes on rear RS turbo arches and skirts kit I have some chrome plates which go on the door sills which will be included. It is still registered as a 1.6 on the log book so it would be up to the buyer Ito change if he/she wanted too. Also as it has RS turbo seats in it the air bag light comes on, on the dash as the seats have now electrics like the standard ones. That's everything I can think of but I could have missed something. There is some bad points , the speedo doesn't work but hasn't bothered me, fog lights on the front don't work as the puma loom is different to the fiesta just need wiring in. Paint has lifted below one of the rear lights and there is a slight crack at the bottom of the rear passenger arch, as always with fords there is a slight bit of rust at the bottom of the drivers door again never bothered me. Apart from that it drives spot on and is a nippy little car. The Private reg doesn't come with the car and it will be put back to original registration. The car will come with subs. Selling on behalf of a friend. £800

TD05 turbo upgrade
yeah, only reason i ended up doing mine is found the kid who had done the rebuild on it had mixed A+B pistons.

TD05 turbo upgrade
just remap the TD04 and use that for a while :) 270+ is still good in an impreza

TD05 turbo upgrade
straight swap as in the least mods ? if so just get a hybrid TD04 they are good for 320 and relatively cheap new and second hand.

air suspension
depends on what your going for, show car then fair enough but as matt said they weigh an absolute tonne :/

TD05 turbo upgrade
m old bug had stainless headers, upipe and turbo back 2.5 inch and k&N cone and made 276 and 260 which is very rare for a td04, however i would factor in the possibility of a clutch with a remap as mine shat it self and liked to slip with 18 psi :s TD05 route is good but tbh only reason im doing it is ive got most of the bits anyway and a closed deck block, and having to get engine bored due to previous owner, my bug was more than liverly enough at 276 and was great on fuel and reliable, much passed the 330-350 and your reliability comes down, so i would say if you use it ever day go td04 route :)

TD05 turbo upgrade
doing this at the moment, for worth while, upgrade to sti yellow injectors, fuel pump, DV, and STI newage top mount, also you will desperately need a remap, and will happily see around 320+ the TD05 itself will most likely need adjusting as they are top mount and ours are front mount :)
