  1. I needed to insure a car a few years back that I was picking up that day as my insurance had ran out I used a quick comparison site that I would have never used normally. Like you they was the cheapest. The renewal will make you laugh too mine was double the amount that the 1st quote was so safe to say I was with them for a year. I can't remember what problem I had but it all started after about 6 months I know i was on the phone constantly to them in barbados and premium rate on hold. it wasn't until then I searched the reviews on them :o I vowed never to use them again after that. Oh that was it I signed up for fully comp and when my Doc's came back it was only third party. And they wouldn't change it I'm sure that was the 1st thing but the list goes on. Heres just a few. I've just pulled off, but for me I would try back out if you can or hold out for the year like I did. 1)The company is awful, the helpline operators are unhelpful and patronising. I do not normally complain about things but would hate for anyone else to use this awful company.I had a claim made against me, which one didnt happen and i know nothing about, however, they still paid out and i lost my no claims.I REPEAT DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!This review is the subjective opinion of a Moneysupermarket user and not of Moneysupermarket.com 2)1st central are the worst providers ever. Their documents are not clear and every time 1 have to phone them, its costing me an arm and leg because of the 0843 number. They cannot access my details if im online and i have to logg off and then phone them back. The advisers are just clueless and so far i have made numerous phone calls which has cost me a total of £21.00 which i know i will not get reimbursed, They have not made it clear on their documents that i am not able to drive any other vehicle 3rd party even i have had this on my previous insurance companies, They want £30.00 to correct any information they have made mistakes on. ANY COMPARISON WEBSITE SHOULD LOOK AT INSURANCE COMPANIES CAREFULLY BEFORE ADVERTISING THEM!!!!! This review is the subjective opinion of a Moneysupermarket user and not of Moneysupermarket.com. 3)telephone manner near to useless, all i got was to send them an email, after i sent them an email they said about a £50 fine, what i was told via phone calls was different when i recieved emails, they may be the cheapest for me but i will never use again, i keep being told 2 different stories and am now trying to get out of this contract as i have had enough alreay after only being with them for a week..... you have been warned This review is the subjective opinion of a Moneysupermarket user and not of Moneysupermarket.com. 4)I took out a policy with 1st Central on monthly instalments with a £102 of upfront payment and I thought I was getting a good deal. However I noticed that the date I wanted the policy to start on was wrong and the car was not in my possession at the time. I didn't buy the car in the end so I rang next day to cancel and they said my details are not on the system and to ring 2 days later. Unfortunately I forgot but cancelled the policy within the 14day period. They will deduct £40 ***** cost of cancellation. How do they justify this I do not know. They claim all insurance compnanies operate like this. I could understand £10 canc but £40 They are internet based company. ASK all questions before you take a policy with any company. This review is the subjective opinion of a Moneysupermarket user and not of Moneysupermarket.com. 5)Glacial customer service lines - with waits of up to 30 minutes. Bored, disenchanted staff obviously reading scripts. Non-customer-friendly attitude. Hard sell on 'extras' (which should really be part of the policy). Worth paying more just to get some sort of customer service. - Horrible!!! This review is the subjective opinion of a Moneysupermarket user and not of Moneysupermarket.com. The list goes on mate awful is all I can say out of the 25 reviews I just looked at only 2 was positive, and I would make a guess that they are employed by 1st Central. How the company is still able to trade is beyond me it's that bad mate :(
  2. I'm not really sure to be honest I just asked Steve about getting a flag or two and thats what he said I've not even shopped about myself. I just know they're not the cheapest of things when I wanted some little Subaru rally flags before :(
  3. I keep looking and thinking about this have been for years :D Best way is some heat and find something to prise them off slowly I've hra some people have used a strong fishing line to almost cheese cut them off. And to remove the sticky pad stuff petrol WD40 or Halfrauds Sticky stuff remover should do it :)
  4. Right had words with the boss about this now we can get one but has no stand for it I was thinking maybe rig some sort of fishing pole up just for ease of moving it around. BUT! It's £100 just for the flag I'm happy to make a £20 donation towards it. And I know the events haven't gone as well as I would have hoped so far this year but way it goes I guess. But anyway I was just seeing what everyone else thought and if anyone else would be happy to donate towards it. There is no obligation to it and I'm not one to beg for anything, so will leave it with everyone else as to what we do about this. and even if it's not ready for this year it's always handy for next year.
  5. Even if it's a non named make Stainless steel will be just as good as anything bit of heat wrap around it. If you see anything that you're on sure just link it on here mate. Can take a look for you :)
  6. Not owned a Golf but would have thought parts would be easy enough to buy cheap, and they're highly moddable if you want to get into that with it too :) Never really been a fan of the Vauxhall Disaster I had a 06 plate 1.6 for a short time didn't really do much for me.
  7. I agree once it's fitted what is going to happen :)
  8. Well I'm looking for a nice smallish tidy car for the missus and keep thinking about one of these just incase I have to drive it I want something that looks good, so might have one yet :D

Don't be sorry about asking mate what we are here for, if we can help anyway :D I've just had a quick look and can't find anyone that sells them even Rallyparts don't have any to sell and have a notice may not have anymore in the future :( Only place I could find in the UK that might be able to help is these :( Like rocking horse sh't to find. http://www.cplracing.co.uk/contactus.php
  16. No mate the sharkeye is the Hatch. Anything from the Blobeye should be a straight swap so upto the 55 plate, I'm not entirely sure if the Hawkeyes will fit but they go from 55 onto 07
  17. Gambit

    Revenge Prank

Just need to find yourself a midget/dwarf to dress up like Chucky and you as a clown and chase people around Sheffield ;)
  18. When security is involved and where money is involved I agree, there should be no excuses. Same with what happened with Sony and facebook. Mind you some idiots on facebook the info people can get on others from there is unreal. My favourite is with CV's when they put the email address on it use facebook to search for it soon find out there not the person they describe themselves to be. That enjoys nights in with family and countryside walks, with pictures of them pi$$ed out there faces knickers around the ankles... My type of classy lady Or the lads with black eyes or in A&E after a football match brawl.
  19. I just bought something similar to this mate. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOLEADS-DAB-AA1-Glass-Mount-DAB-Digital-Car-Radio-Aerial-Antenna-SMB-Connector-/370916306948?pt=UK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Terminals_Cabling_ET&hash=item565c55b004 But if you go down the paint thing sound interesting. Pictures with a how to would be good ;)
  20. Least it's not with 1st Central awful company for insurance.
  21. I know they're quick that guy I was on about he had a blue one just double checked you wasn't the same guy came past me on the A180 I really wanted ago in it by hell it shifted :) In my defence I was in a transit van with a kitchen in the back :D
  22. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C Congratulations on your awesome car ;) feel free to have a look around the forum and join in great bunch of members all friendly, so no need to worry about joining in on the old or new threads :)
  23. Yeah I agree hope you get it sorted out soon mate shame to have her parked up :( And the Clio is going to feel a bit low on the power :)
  24. The engine bay looks really good mate. Could do with one for mine :)
  25. I've thought about moving this year when everything sells, only thing that I don't want to move to far away is kids with school. My oldest brother has just got the managers job at heathrow terminal 5 and have 2 cousins that live that way so did think about moving down there. But will stay around here for the time being. :)
