  1. Very nice least you have lot's of time to take your time with it and get it all perfect ;)
  2. If you are on facebook S3otty, MD'd on there with the address I looked for the meet up but miles out the way for me :(
  3. Fantastic looking example mate hope goes to a good home and sale goes well for you mate.
  4. Myself I've never used one My MOT guy is spot on with me, as long as the car is safe for use he passes it so I've not used a cat on my last 4 car's I think :D
  5. Sounds like a great deal mate. Hope the job goes well an back on the road soon :) Looking forward to seeing how it goes :)
  6. Has to be the coolest 76 year old ever :) As a guess from looking with mileage I would say £6k to £7k might get more but that's the ball park figure I think. Traded in at a dealer a lot less :(
  7. Yeah it will do the same thing I would have thought. I only used mine a hand full of times Sorry was half way through replying and my 10 year old was crying saying he couldn't breath. But panic over he's fine :)
  8. Haha... You should have taken a lighter out and said " So it's past then" while flicking it on ;) I'm the same but never got it to that point :D
  9. So the next time if anyone is heading down the M1 near Leeds to Sheffield And you find a 12mm Crows Foot, or an Allen key or even a Hex key stuck in the windscreen can you please return to For the attention of Stanton500 S.O.C Wedontcare Road PO Box 761, Leeds, LS1 9JF Uk ;)
  10. Very nice and no time wasted with modding her :) I like it. As for the wind deflectors I'm not sure.
  11. I have this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/JDM-HKS-EVC-5-electronic-boost-controller-silver-kit-Mt-Turbo-manual-Universal-/181193855459 Not my sale by the way I will keep mine in the car just can't use it unless I connect it back up :)
  12. Hi mate welcome I'm sure it will tick the boxes you are after it doing AWD ;) great fun :D And I agree feel free to share some pictures :)
  13. 2nd Jays comment I wouldn't know but wouldn't want to risk welding it until I had tried every other option 1st
  14. Best sound and more power having it completely done. Downside is unless you know a good MOT guy or are happy putting the cat on for MOT every year it will fail :)
  15. Yep tops anything I've done so far ;) I say so far it will happen I'm sure :)
  16. I have a boost controller I've disconnected it now after seeing lot's of people killing there cars with them :) but good bit of kit if used right.
  17. Do you get any drumbing sounds could be a wheel bearing or Hub another possible thing is Lower Ball Joint for any splits. I would have a look at the breakpads too. For any worn down either at the top or the bottom of the pad or for any binding signs. And would look at CV joint and the rubber boots. While it's jacked up you should be able to give the spring a look at and check the suspension strut. That's all I can think of at the minute :)
  18. I think I would stay away it's hard to tell without seeing it could be genuine. But I know one member bought a import impreza had just had a full engine rebuild it looked great very clean inside and out big ends popped and he hadn't even done 500 miles :( Myself poor rebuild or he just cleaned it all up know it was faulty. How long ago did he sorn it if it was sorned before he bought the other car, alarm bells would ring for me even more. I would go with the gut and look else where if it was me :( There is lots of people that would be happy to make a quick few quid selling crap car's. I've never done that always listed a fault. only problem I did have once was with a car my mate wrote off. sold it on ebay listed everything I was told it needed to be put back on the road, about £3000 worth I was going to sell the car anyway so sold it as spares or repairs as I said listed everything I was told, bloke buys it comes picks it up happy with the car pay's me off he goes. Like all my car's I've done them up and looked after them I messaged him asking if he had got it back on the road as I would like to have seen some pictures of it back to it's best. I got a long rant message back saying the engine was in worse state then I had said needed a full engine rebuild and so on. So I apologised I didn't know and not heard anything from him since but did check DVLA and it's now back on the road :) so with any car I think is a gamble. But if you have a feeling the seller is trying to pull the wool over your eye's that would be enough for me to walk
  19. Oh i'm good at doing that too :) I can even drop the bolt I need and get it wedged to the point I had to take the battery out to get it back, and I wasn't even working on that side of the car :D
  20. Sounds like big's ends gone to me that. Does the noise sound like this ? And if possible can you get a video of the noise done and linked here ?
  21. Sounds like a bad car to me. Everyone I've owned when I've been to view it they have taken me out in it they drove it till it warmed up showed the Turbo working or let me take it out on my own and didn't say a thing about how far to go. So I use to drive round for at least 15 mins let her warm up and give it a little boost to feel the turbo. :) But you could have scared him looking all big and scary
  22. Yep would recommend Tlag has more years then anyone else I know with Subaru engines under his belt :D
  23. I'd set the hole car a light. My lucks like this. If I fell in a barrel full of ladies breast's I still come out sucking my thumb :)
