Subaru XV STI
Auto express reckon £32k for the 2015 which is about the same as now, with a 2.0l variant and a 2.5 NA petrol which they didn't like. on Reuters pages they have an official announcement that its going to 24,500 dollars so might actually be a bit cheaper, will have same diesel as the XV

Subaru XV STI
I have spoken to a Subaru dealer and he's not said about the diesels, they're the biggest seller now. Eu is banning older diesels without DPFs from cities, no diesel is allowed to be made now without a DPF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

XV spotted on TV the othernight!
It bonds to the top of the bumper by the boot lid protects the paint on the bumper top. Worth having. I only use shell standard diesel after an AA mech warned me about cheaper fuels. They risk the diesel bug which can knacker your engine up. Also you need to give the XV a bit of a blow out from time to time else they can come up especially on cheap diesel. I tried it and economy went down and it started to get a bit lumpy to drive. Put the standard diesel in an it smoothed right down and went back up to high 50s mpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Subaru XV STI
If they did the STi in diesel then that might be the next XV for me, I think it's about £300 for the spoiler painted. I only had the rear number guard and the bonnet stone guard which looks nice, about £80 each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not good, me and the wife looked at one and decided yet were just too common, we basically made a baa noise whenever we saw one, when you do that you suddenly realise how many there are. I love the XV. Don't put nitro diesel in it if it's a diesel, it doesn't like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd contact your insurers get them to do a full vehicle inspection and start the claim, he'll get stung for insurance which if he's a young lad is probably what he ran. You sure the car is insured for him or just insured? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Also, I was told once if you think you've had an injury you should call the police regardless, the officer I spoke to said they will only attend an injury accident so even if there's very little damage they'd come out, the other idiot would have done very awkward questions to answer with regards driving off when he must have known he hit you, I can only assume he's not insured Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On the other hand I had a town at in a drop plate and I had to double clutch into 2nd behind was a Jenson interceptor. And he run under the drop plate just as I got a gear and it dropped onto the car, I didn't know and wondered why the Landrover wasn't pulling. I pulled his front end off in the end [emoji30]. He wasn't too happy, but it was his fault. Shame as the interceptor was a nice car. At least yours is ok Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Especially if now he's fessed up. Police is best bet then insurance and put a claim in, serves him right if it costs him s fortune Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you were injured, as you say. Then leaving the scene of an accident is a criminal offence and you should call the police on the non-emergency number 101 I think. It's only the you caught him that you sorted it. He may also have damaged structure behind the bumper that you can't see, so you need to get it checked at his cost Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not yet, another conversation and the lead guy at the dealers says he's driven the car and it's not right, over responsive throttle seems to be the culprit so injecting fuel that's not needed at every bump, mix is too rich so coking up, this is the first sensible problem that's been identified that could explain the problems, any car is being stripped down, engine on the bench etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spoke to dealers on my wife's XV they've said its more carbon deposits which is why it's running rough. Interesting then that when they gave it back 3 weeks ago it ran lovely, then it deteriorated. So it's either, they didn't clean all the carbon out and it's got worse or they did clean it all out and it's come back, either way suggests something is causing the carbon. Can't help feeling we're solving symptoms here not problems, they've had the car 2 weeks now and it's not coming back until at least this time next week [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Faulty Fog light a MOT failure?
You would be ok to blank the front fog though as I understand, as there is no legal requirement for a front fog light. I had a Landrover with spots and a blown bulb, because I put covers on then it didn't fail the MOT as they were not useable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
