I tried shell nitro and it got a lot worse in my diesel. I only use shell though so that's me limited Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Wife went to the weather channel website and it was advertised there too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Well today the dealership will have had my wife's XV for 3 weeks, they say it was carbon, apparently there's even carbon build up in the throttle body, but as yet no one can explain why which is what I want, I know there's carbon buildup, I want you to fix it, not just clean up the mess. Might end up in a fight soon. Could well be the last time I use this dealership if it plays up again because they didn't fix the issue, just the symptom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My 2013 2.0D XV averages between 56-58mpg, this is the liftime mpg as tracked on Fuelly.com, I think a few others on here use it Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Ok I'm a baby compared to you, at just 44. Doesn't stop the wife thinking its chavvy though [emoji39] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'd like to attend a meet one day me and the wife can bring hers and mine, if dug went we'd probably have the biggest gathering of XVs not organised by Subaru [emoji4]. Problem is the wife thinks car meets are a bit chavvy. And I'm getting too old [emoji69] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The issue apparently was common in the Euro4 and Early Euro5 engines. It's not something that affects the newer Euro5 which is the current version. I believe 2012 (don't quote me) onwards don't seem to suffer the same issues Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Not saying he's wrong, I just had a look and couldn't confirm it. Wasn't havin a dig, I might be wrong it's all hearsay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

XVs are really big in Russia and surrounding countries, according to my dealer they reckon they only sell 3000 or so a year in the UK so they're pretty rare. I get stopped regularly so people can ask questions

we're dead snuggly, plus I have two sort of (wife has one) so that's 3.
  11. Auto express reckon £32k for the 2015 which is about the same as now, with a 2.0l variant and a 2.5 NA petrol which they didn't like. on Reuters pages they have an official announcement that its going to 24,500 dollars so might actually be a bit cheaper, will have same diesel as the XV
  12. I have spoken to a Subaru dealer and he's not said about the diesels, they're the biggest seller now. Eu is banning older diesels without DPFs from cities, no diesel is allowed to be made now without a DPF Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Shiny shiny [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Very nice, but seriously, car wash? Do you not care for your paint [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. It bonds to the top of the bumper by the boot lid protects the paint on the bumper top. Worth having. I only use shell standard diesel after an AA mech warned me about cheaper fuels. They risk the diesel bug which can knacker your engine up. Also you need to give the XV a bit of a blow out from time to time else they can come up especially on cheap diesel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I tried it and economy went down and it started to get a bit lumpy to drive. Put the standard diesel in an it smoothed right down and went back up to high 50s mpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. If they did the STi in diesel then that might be the next XV for me, I think it's about £300 for the spoiler painted. I only had the rear number guard and the bonnet stone guard which looks nice, about £80 each. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not good, me and the wife looked at one and decided yet were just too common, we basically made a baa noise whenever we saw one, when you do that you suddenly realise how many there are. I love the XV. Don't put nitro diesel in it if it's a diesel, it doesn't like it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Hope your neck better soon, I know how much mine hurt when I had whiplash [emoji22] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. To be honest humping will probably make it worse . . . Oh, you meant . . . Oops [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Welcome to the club, hopefully you'll like it here. What's your chariot of choice? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I noticed that, it was the red mist descending, I think he pulled over to let you go if you look Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. I'd contact your insurers get them to do a full vehicle inspection and start the claim, he'll get stung for insurance which if he's a young lad is probably what he ran. You sure the car is insured for him or just insured? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Also, I was told once if you think you've had an injury you should call the police regardless, the officer I spoke to said they will only attend an injury accident so even if there's very little damage they'd come out, the other idiot would have done very awkward questions to answer with regards driving off when he must have known he hit you, I can only assume he's not insured Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. On the other hand I had a town at in a drop plate and I had to double clutch into 2nd behind was a Jenson interceptor. And he run under the drop plate just as I got a gear and it dropped onto the car, I didn't know and wondered why the Landrover wasn't pulling. I pulled his front end off in the end [emoji30]. He wasn't too happy, but it was his fault. Shame as the interceptor was a nice car. At least yours is ok Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
