  1. Don't suppose these free tickets are something you can apply for are they? Thought about going to this event myself? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. My wife's got a forester for the day as she having a problem with the turbo under high torque in high gears it just dies, knock it down a gear and up the revs it's fine. So I arranged for her to try a forester as she might look at upgrading, she likes the high position when driving. Will pop some feedback on here once I've had a looksee. 3. You can have a go on their off road course too, they're setting one up so you can try out a forester or XV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Looks like my wife parked next to someone who used a hose pipe or pressure washer as the marks were water marks, 5 min buff with a cloth and the shine is back, happy days. Good news about the wheel the4neuk, happy days all round Not heard about the lowther thing, not sure if scam or not. You'll have to look into it, as long as no card details etc probably legit. They're doing off road driving in the XV and forester there, thought I might pop along just for that [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. It's not actually tree sap, the tree doesn't drop they. What it is is insect !Removed!. Greenfly, any etc they're all sugary, especially greenfly that's why it sticks like syrup. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Just wrong on so many levels! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I am at ease, cider in hand as I type [emoji4]Although the wife's just come back and told me her cars covered in something that looks like it's been sprayed with something, probably fly crap if she's parked near a tree
  8. just finished claying, polishing and waxing my car now so it does't look mucky against the wife's which I did the same yesterday. smooth as a babies bum (although not having kids, I've no idea how smooth that actually is, which is probably a good thing as if I did know that might raise some awkward questions, anyway, pics below. Just need a great big seagull to crap on it now
  9. Item not as described, instant money back, did you use PayPal? Always use PayPal because the can get the money back direct if needed from eBay Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. We bought a purpose made dog cage from lintran, they make for most models. Not the cheapest (£380) but very well made plus protects the interior if the car should doggie get a little destructive or have an accident. Even had an escape hatch so you can get dog out if you can't open the boot after a shunt.ours wast he first they'd fitted in an XV Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. You replacing with anything? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Weathers looking like it'll be nice this afternoon, looks like my car will get the clay treatment tonight [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The advantage of 50/50 AWD. This was the main reason for my choice. Good ground clearance and full 4 wheel drive, not this pseudo 4x4 where the back wheels put out 30% of the power when the front wheels slip. The Honda CRV system is very good but no match for subarus, Kia have full AWD but it's not 50/50 and engines are a bit weedy, plus it's a Kia. Nissan Qashqai I won't have out of principle because there are so many, I like the fact that no one seems to know what an XV is yet everyone likes it. Haven't tried it in the snow yet but have been through some pretty sticky mud I wouldn't have fancied my chances in the civic with [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Ok, I'll give you that one Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Properly joined the Subaru club, premium member, 15% off Halfrauds was the clincher [emoji4] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 2 bucket method is the only way to go, looks good from the photos. Just don't get it dirty driving out of that field [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. i bought my clay bar from halfords for a tenna (a meguairs one), and used a slightly more soapy water mix as the lube, gob it on with a mitt, clay the panel and rinse with a hose, panel by panel works a treat, cheaper than detailing spray.
  18. Hoping tomorrow evening I'll get it done, next to my wife's it looks rough [emoji20] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Nice one well done, worth the effort. I went to a dog training event and our dog one that! [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Nah, just the grey one, white one is as rough as sandpaper although it's quite clean so it's an opitcal illusion, close up its like a babies bottom . . . Covered in crap [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. your wish is my command. light was fading so hope these are ok? This XVs never been on the forum so this is its first showing. My wife is from the Henry Ford School, any colour you like as long as it's black. Or in this case dark grey pearl, near enough
  22. Wifes car as smooth as a babies bottom now, might get chance to do mine too. Washed in Meguiars synthetic paint soap, clayed whole car, meguairs ultimate compound, carnauba wax followed by meguairs ultimate synthetic wax and tyre black, wife did inside with Hoover and Autoglym interior shampoo and auto fresh so it smells nice. Looks great now for convincing Carstins dealers that there's enough in the car to trade up to a forester. Car actually looks better than when they gave it to us [emoji41]. Cider now, I'm knackered [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Just been to Halfrauds, still 3 for 2 on Meguiars stuff, just bought a new clay bar, tyre gloss spray, carnauba wax and some ultimate compound. Hopefully later I'll be starring on my rendition if the shining[emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Would have come only been out at a dog training event with our spaniel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
