Child Seat Detection
Do you know what, I haven't managed to find a way to turn off the airbag detection. It's an automatic system, if you put a child seat in it it's active, you need a rear facing seat I don't think (from what I can make out) that you can use a forward facing seat in the XV or forester. I'll have another look though see if I can work it out. I don't have kids so it's not something I've looked at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

XV spotted on TV the othernight!
Ok seriously? Qashqai? Why are there so many? They're apparently the biggest car on the Motability list so its the one everyone on disability wants. Nissan sell 40000 Qashqai a year, this means everyone has one and they're not exclusive. Subaru currently only sell about 3500 XV a year. Now the killer blow, a 2.0l 4x4 Qashqai will be about £27k (because nearly all Quashqai aren't 4x4) the same XV £23k (even the bottom of the range has full 4x4) the Nissan has 1 2yr 50k warranty that you can pay 2 grand to extend to 60k 3yrs. Subaru is a standard 100k 5yr warranty. as standard the basic XV has heated seats, cruise control, bluetooth. you want all that in a nissan, you'd better get your credit card out. and now the looks The Nissan Quashqai jelly mould, boring and bulbous. And the Subaru XV Nuff Said!

Subaru XV STI
Subaru means Severn sisters and is in relation to the Pleiades constellation, and it is pronounced the way he is. Though he is a nob. As for the car, I doubt my wife would let me have one, though I can see me seriously considering it in the future, I'm getting to the age where I could use my mid-life crisis card [emoji39] Shame they didn't put an STi engine in it, that's what's really needed, a bit of boost [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Child Seat Detection
Depending on how you want to carry the bikes, both will support a roof bike rack. XV is much firmer suspension and better handling, forester is definitely the more refined of the two. XV has the highest NCAP rating for infant occupants in its class, if that's important to you. Well worth looking on YouTube for the NCAP tests. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I don't know off the top of my head but I'll have a look at the XV, we also have a new forester on the drive due to some odd circumstances so I'll have a look at that too Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Now is that a clean female beaver gets more action or a male beaver who walks around with frequent erections. I'd just like to be clear on that Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Off to give the dealership some grief tomorrow, they're thinking now it might be injector related. Apparently the engine 'learns' how you drive and sets up The injectors to be the most efficient. They think our car is then slowly forgetting what it's learnt and going wrong. Used to be easy with a diesel, if you had compression, fuel and air it'd run [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Well, wife's car saga continues, over the weekend her XV has started stuttering, misfiring, kangarooing and generally just running rough, so hacked off that I laid into the dealership. They're actually on to subaru to see if they can replace the car for a new one, which can be done but only if Subaru stump up the financial shortfall. They're worried that they aren't going to be able to sort it. But at least it's demonstrated that the fault wasn't ho my wife drove it. Getting a bit wound up about this now [emoji35] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Sadly, a chap in Northern Ireland did this the other day, 3 blokes ran out if the hedge beat the crap out of him and stole his car which was found a couple of hours later burnt out. You even have to be careful these days being a Good Samaritan. Crappy world this at the minute [emoji19]Good on you for keeping up the standard Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm pretty sure that you actually need to stick those 'on' the car rather than 'in' the car to complete the makeover [emoji3] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I just sat in mine for 2hrs on the M5 this afternoon in traffic, still, stereo kept me happy. Also managed to avoid some nob doing wheelies on his mountain bike, might try to find vid later and pop up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
