  1. a sticky relay might be the issue find the right relay, switch on the climate control, if not working knock on the relay to see if it clicks in. if helper as to switch it on / off so you can check (click sound) if the relay works
  2. yep, you do... it's in the back of your Forester ;) anyway good luck and hope it isn't too bad

  6. the Forester i have comes standard with the 900 Geolandar tires and i personally don't like them at all. i was also bit bit sceptical to change as Subaru use these as standard on the Forester but i'm glad i'v changed them. for me comfort is more important then wear as if i wanted to be economical i should never drive a petrol Subaru in the first place but buy some electric vehicle...
  7. the rear looks low to me so check the rear shocks as well i still have a :) on my face after all those years of driving a Forester have fun
  8. not sure about that one... i find the Geolandars crap tires. hard plastic noisy tires, sure lots of miles but not comfortable. i can't believe how much quieter my car is now.
  9. towed a 47 year old Sunbeam with a blocked starter solenoid. sorry forgot to take pictures :(
  10. bought 4 new Nexen Nfera SU4 tires last week for £205 fitted and i like them. they are very quiet and the first day i had them i needed to go to a friend and was shocked as i did 90 Mph without knowing it due lack of road noise need to keep an eye on the speedo and use the cruise (never had a speed ticket in the UK and like to keep it that way)
  11. sound a bit like an advertisement but he ho here you go ;)
  12. just to let you know bought the pu40 and all done :) thx
  13. looking for two used Geolandar G900 215/60/16 tires with about 5mm or more and from at least 2012 to replace my rear tires. i'm located in RH1 (Redhill) and willing to travel a bit lets say 50 miles; cash waiting. cheers,
  14. ok guys, thanks for the replies as i understand the XT has 17" rims and not 16" rims my XC has. so that means i'm not going to spend lots of £ on tires ;) cheers,
  15. hi, like to know the standard tire sizes of the Forester MY06 - MY08 both NA & Turbo as it's time to change the tires (215/60/16) on MY06 XC i would like to know if a MY08 XT has the same tire size. this because i might going to buy a XT by the end of the year and if so transfer the tires too. thx,
  16. remove it and place a touch pad (Nexus 7) in it and now you have the world on your finger tips ;) do a search and you will find people done this
  17. hi *, the black rubber seal around the windscreen is getting loose on the passenger side. what's the best glue / kit to use? cheers,
  18. Called my Aussie Forester Proop, Proop due the fact the sound it made on tick over
  19. just remove the S of httpS as for some reason this forum doesn't like httpS with the tags...
  20. i have driven many auto's over the last 25+ years and both my Forester's a 2003 (200.000km) and a 2006 (200.000 miles) have the best auto box by far. but i do like the 2006 more as the mirrors are bigger and like the smaller fog lights, but that's personal. the 2003 i had in Australia was a 2.5 n/a and do like that engine more then the 2.0 n/a i have in the 2006. the 2.5 n/a had more grunt and a nicer sound at ticking over.
  21. i feel sorry for you as you bought your Forester knowing that the clutch was replaced but then this... cowboy garages are they but how trusted was the seller? was it the previous owner not wanting to spend too much £? same goes for the so called FSH. it still to the owner what to do, i.e. no extra work only the bare minimum to get the stamp in the book etc glad it's all fixed thou and you found a good garage, well done good on you,
  22. say no more; http://www.net-security.org/secworld.php?id=18201
