looking for two used Geolandar G900 215/60/16 tires with about 5mm or more and from at least 2012 to replace my rear tires. i'm located in RH1 (Redhill) and willing to travel a bit lets say 50 miles; cash waiting. cheers,

hi, like to know the standard tire sizes of the Forester MY06 - MY08 both NA & Turbo as it's time to change the tires (215/60/16) on MY06 XC i would like to know if a MY08 XT has the same tire size. this because i might going to buy a XT by the end of the year and if so transfer the tires too. thx,

remove it and place a touch pad (Nexus 7) in it and now you have the world on your finger tips ;) do a search and you will find people done this

i have driven many auto's over the last 25+ years and both my Forester's a 2003 (200.000km) and a 2006 (200.000 miles) have the best auto box by far. but i do like the 2006 more as the mirrors are bigger and like the smaller fog lights, but that's personal. the 2003 i had in Australia was a 2.5 n/a and do like that engine more then the 2.0 n/a i have in the 2006. the 2.5 n/a had more grunt and a nicer sound at ticking over.

i feel sorry for you as you bought your Forester knowing that the clutch was replaced but then this... cowboy garages are they but how trusted was the seller? was it the previous owner not wanting to spend too much £? same goes for the so called FSH. it still to the owner what to do, i.e. no extra work only the bare minimum to get the stamp in the book etc glad it's all fixed thou and you found a good garage, well done good on you,

this was my TOD (hack) mod when having a Sorento so i know a bit about how TOD works. i can (if i want to) mod the Forester TOD the same way what i might do one day ;) the only different is that with the mod the Forester will be front wheel drive only in green LED mode while the Sorento is then rear wheel drive only. http://youtu.be/-uABCiTjyoI

also in you owners manual you will find to how to disable the TOD system with a 10A fuse in the fuse box located in the engine compartment. you can use that to 'test' and if it makes a difference. please bear in mind that it's NOT advisable to drive long distance with this fuse in place!

also the AWD of the automatic is a TOD system (with a electro magnetic clutch between the front and the rear axle) and not the 50% - 50% diff as the manual AWD. to see if that's (TOD) being damaged make tight circles dead slow and check for noise and vibrations. TOD -> Torque On Demand (google / wikipedia is you friend)

changed power steering fluid this morning as the fluid was dark and pump makes noise again. easy enough 10 min job even in the cold. pump probably going to die any time soon.
