  1. Took the air box off to have a listen, then put it back on again lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. I just did the same on mine yesterday though was at a pressure wash place so didn't have to worry about plastic bags, all down their drains lololol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. Being an import will it not be treated differently? I'm pretty sure you wouldn't get away with that as it would look like a bad earth on your car every time it's foggy over here Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. If you've not had a turbo before even the quietest whoosh is foreign at first Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. This mans talking sense i was purely guessing
  6. Found the !Removed! living in my wing so evicted them. Some how undoing the top wing bolts the rattle disappeared so did them up again and it went but came back a lot quieter when driving think i may put a sort of rubber washer in between the wing and the chassis and hope this stops it. It was a definite metal on metal chirp
  7. It did have black wheels before thats why he had the black theme, we used to take the **** calling it a taxi lol
  8. Random one but there Is a chirpy rattle coming from my wing whenever I tap it checked all the bolts under the bonnet and they seem tight, any ideas? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. I know it's not gold but my mates old classic pre coilovers
  10. I'd take my impreza through 15" with standard ride height. Not too fast so the water doesn't get pushed up the grill. Be warned I am yet to learn from my own mistakes on this one even though I nearly flooded my Citroen ax when the water came up to the windscreen and soaked the air filter. I couldn't open the throttle past 25% for a week after that as it bogged down like a 2 stroke haha. (I wasn't into mechanic side of things back then and let it sort itself out) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  11. Maybe if they've got some card company that has more expensive fees than eBay so they try and encourage eBay purchases? Just a guess. What's the deal Cusco with exchanging/refurbishing calipers? What's the turnaround? Price? I'm not in a hurry to do it yet but have some time off coming up, and my car can go for as long as needed on stands Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  12. Hello and welcome, very clean looking scoob that I like it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. What sort of noise does come through the gearbox then as I don't really care for noises in mine. I know you said there wasn't much but what type of sound is it exactly?
  14. Your Just smashing through everything I want to do on mine except you have the headstart of it already being an sit lol
  15. I appreciate this, I did stop after I had to replace a release bearing (and gearbox and clutch and flywheel and diff) on my derv astra, It had a massive telltale noise as well, so i made a conscious effort to start releasing the clutch. It was an old habit and its still dying hard
  16. Not as much as sitting at the lights with it held in surely
  17. They put these safety measures on for starting etc its ridiculous all just for a few more points in some test probably. On newer AT you usually have to press brake to start, why? Handbrake's on will that not do the job? Its car manufacturers having no faith in drivers anymore. I don't blame them either seeing the state of some people that are allowed on the roads.
  18. Looks like im off to kenya now, oh well theres always next time
  19. Does nobody camp anymore?
  20. I think that is a bit of a knee jerk reaction, they use a proportion of bio diesel yes this does increase the chance, but it will only be a matter of time before the major ones follow suit. I'm curious to know if there is any additives in the "super" diesel that will combat this.
  21. Don't despair Dog I learned something new today, after googling the diesel bug I'm now kind of paranoid and want to go fill my tank up with acid
  22. I would recommend replacing all pistons after seeing my mates, only one moved but if he'd left that sods law it would be the first to seize up next time
  23. The number of autocorrect fails on this thread is funny, what do you mean dogconker? Ive only ever had problems with dodgy petrol from a station. You could **** in my astras tank and it would still run
