  1. When you rebuild them do an idiots guide so er i can learn from someone else's mistakes haha
  2. Pain in the fecking !Removed! these brakes, dunno how bad the rears are but if im leaving it for more than a day i dont even bother with the handbrake just to reduce the chance
  3. Very Nice, need something to freshen mine up
  4. Put me down for now, just waiting on the march roster. Will confirm Monday x
  5. Optional rear wheel drive?
  6. I recommend halfords Bogof ultra brilliance or whatever they're called in both my cars, cheap but actually pretty good Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I'll back that theory, look how Toyota undercut Subaru With the gt86, better warranty better finance deals, more availability yet the car was a joint project. Subaru should've got their own back with an sti version. I imagine this sort of thing happens all the time with car manufacturers. It's just none of it will be instantly obvious Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. I never found the mpg offset the extra cost so don't care, would rather reduce chance of knocking with the better stuff Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. Try hitting the light, good way to check dodgy connections honest Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Tesco 99, as cheap as 97 and gets you club card points lol. In theory the lower the octane the better the economy due to a higher calorific value but in a scoob put your foot down once and you've lost a potential 50 miles from that tank. Try not to worry about economy too much you'll get hung up on it and wont be able to enjoy the car the same
  11. I like reading things like this. For reference really as i know its only a matter of time before i get pulled over on a country road for enjoying my car.
  12. Ive only recently mastered doing it without getting cramp in my foot lol. Agree with what you're saying about the flex, but doesn't bother me too much, what do these stoppers look like then, my mate was whining about his when we were bleeding them and i could really see his cylinder move
  13. We got any details of this jap meet, a link or anything? I have a friend with a 200 who'd want to come with Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. I actually like the stiffer pedal feel, the first car I've had where i can properly heel and toe it (the good driving position helps too with being tall)
  15. Had to read that twice to understand it, so you run an open cone for the sound? I did run one on my vxr and the sneezes and splutters coming out of it were awesome. My mate said he couldn't tell much sound difference, but maybe that was due to the exhaust. Is it just chatter you hear or is there an induction rumble as well?
  16. I understand that bit, just thought they had a different disc that would withstand the metal on metal for longer. I don't know what is normal but I think with past cars I've usually gone through 2/3 sets of pads to discs, but i'm not a heavy braker either. I once got 20 miles into a journey and wondered why my cruise wouldn't come on in the Astra and it was because I hadn't touch the brakes. Eco driving/ light wallet for you
  17. damn right there should be a fair few, a few from n yorks too so if its nice and in the middle should make it accessible to a` lot more
  18. My vote for lawny haha just down the road for me and would be able to bring a mate im his classic
  19. I can get up quite often and if theres a meet I'll try and plan for it but a vote on dates will help me. Only prob is I only know my rota for feb at the minute seem to be up once a week at the minute but at different parts so mid week weekend etc {stop waffling, bad Tim}
  20. thought the ferodo ones were ferrous and needed matching discs otherwise they'll chew threw discs, or is that only a certain version of their pads. Just something to be aware of
  21. I do and it is full, It did smell a bit warm the other day but it came more from the turbo :( I shall have to keep an eye on it. I do have a scan gauge that gives temp readings from the ECU and moves a lot more than the standard gauge and even gives a reading before the thermostat opens. Can I mix coolant or shall i just add a bit of water, as I don't know what coolant is in it other than it's bright green and tastes amazing
  22. ooh heck better put some in mine, its sat pretty much near the bottom of the bottle... and think i will acquire some new exhaust gaskets then
  23. Get a pic up! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  24. Imagine driving for ages thinking hmm this fuel lasting ages, then suddenly quarter of a tank left... Oh wait that's normal lol Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
