  1. I've been going for over 6 years, I think there's only Tim and coco that have been going longer than me. Chris, hope you enjoyed it and didn't feel left out. the best thing to do at a meet it just walk up and start talking to people, everybody is friendly and likes a chat
  2. looks like it's going to be a busy stand B)
  3. every business has happy and dissatisfied customers I have heard mixed reviews about the clinic too, I have used them a few times for minor bits and they have always looked after me and charged me a sensible price. I know a lot of people that are more than satisfied with them too. They used to let customers pay monthly for work done, but they were ripped off a few times buy customers who didn't pay. How many tuners would let you pay monthly??? I have heard a couple of horror stories about area 52 as well even JGM (RIP) had some issues during mapping, he killed a mates engine while trying to get too much power, even killed his own new engine while mapping it every business will have issues and can't please everybody all of the time
  4. FPMSL. how many time attack cars do area 52 prepare? have area 52 got one on the best mappers working there? area 52 have got a reasonable name, but I've heard their rollers read over
  5. I think the police are the same near most car shows/meets. watch out for the unmarked cars either parked up or trying to get people to race them when there used to be the doncaster car show, the coppers were all over, hiding behind trees with speed guns, unmarked cars acting like boy racers
  6. that's a normal list of upgrade parts and that's what I have had fitted to mine. I've been running 330bhp for 5 years and I haven't got bored with it. yes I'm used to it, but I don't think it needs to be any faster in a straight line. the std brakes are poor, I've got uprated discs and pads and new fluid, I've got some braided lines, but not got round to fitting them yet I agree with the handling upgrades, but it depends if you like going round corners really fast. since my accident I don't like going round corners fast :(
  7. it was a good turn out, about 15 cars. not bad for a monday night with rain forecast Ash has updated the thread he linked with some photos
  8. the blob lights look better than the bug's, and they can be fitted to bug's with minor mods
  9. ???? he was there and we had a good chat
  10. I've used dunc a few times and got good results what about scooby clinic? they tune some of the fastest scoobys in the world, one of their cars even beat ken block at gymkhana. Pat is one of the best mappers, if not the best Andy forrest is a very good choice too, another one definitely in the top 5 mappers
  11. it will help the mapper control the boost better, I have heard they are not really needed below 400bhp though I fitted one when I had mine mapped, if it helps the mapper control the boost it can't be a bad thing
  12. the bug eye has similar lights, but flat bottom. never seen a blob with the bug style rear lights
  13. wouldn't even attempt it hitting the rev limiter and not getting much air through the intercooler to cool it, and the burnt rubber in the air could get sucked back into the engine and cause internal damage if you want to drift, buy a RWD car
  14. thought they were the same, what makes you think they are different? the blob and hawk use the same shape light and they are interchangeable, but they are different colour/ layout.
  15. great minds think alike, we were all replying at the same time with the same advice :)
  16. just wait for a remap it will raise the boost pressure, but what about the fueling? or will the 'subaru self learning ecu' sort it out? if you do want more bhp, it would be safer to look into mapping it yourself and it can be done for free (apart from buying cable). personally, I'd buy an exhaust and get it mapped by a professional. it might sound expensive, but it's cheaper than a rebuild
  17. it was another good turn out (about 15 cars), was good to have a catch up with everyone
  18. it's a quid coin this time, there might be some bodily fluids on it though.....
  19. was that reply a PM or on the forum?
  20. you normally like it when I crack the whip
  21. http://www.outdoorshows.co.uk/yorkshire-modified-car-show.html Yorkshire Modified Show, one of the best car show events in Yorkshire and the North of England. Established over 10 years ago, the show is held in the grounds of Pickering Showground, North Yorkshire. The Event has been getting bigger and better as each year passes. In 2009 the show became even more dynamic by introducing the inside show car competition called Yorkshire Top 50 which also featured again in 2010 & 2011. The Yorkshire Top 50 is now the Yorkshire Top 20, this is to make the competition more elite and rewarding to be in.
