    Your age

I'm 38, but feel about 21 age is irrelevant, it's just a number, well that's what I keep thinking when I'm parked outside a school
  2. lol, the car behind me was close so it was unsafe for me to brake hard I guess the pedestrian knew it was amber and assumed it would be safe to cross, hence walking through a crowd of people stood waiting and not even looking what's that saying.......stop, look and listen. she didn't do any

    BTCC

and about a million times more exciting
  4. lol, it's exciting waiting for stuff I think he will take a look for a minimal fee, the last thing he would want is you blow the engine and say 'it was mapped by him' or it was mapped by him and I've had to get a boost controller cos it wasn't done right. get the pipes changed first (don't forget the boost pill lol) and the service done and see if the issue is still there
  5. £170 :o not much more to sort it properly with a map tweek of fresh remap
  6. you shouldn't need a boost controller, if you are still having issues with the new pipes fitted (make sure you refit the boost pill) get it on a rolling road and find the problem, a boost controller will just mask over the existing problem before I had my last car mapped I fitted a manual boost controller (dawes device) for a bit more punch. I set it up on a rolling road day so that I knew everything was safe. I raised boost by 0.2 bar, I only gained 1bhp on top end, but 20 bhp and 30 lb torque through the midrange :D
  7. Anybody going to this, seen it on FB but can't find a link with loads of info on, it's a charity day and free to get in https://www.facebook.com/hullmotorshow?fref=ts
  8. I've already got my tickets, £25 for a family day out to a car show and the ground and gardens is a bargain, plus the real reason I want to go is there is also a flower show on too ;)
  9. have you checked for split pipes or split plastic bits? mine started feeling faster and I looked at the boost gauge and it was 1.6 bar, I backed straight off. I found a plastic Y had cracked, I replaced it and it was fine Don't put your foot down or you could melt your pistons the newage's have the launch feature on the standard ecu, when the car is sat still it will only rev to 5k rpm
  10. Anybody going to this? https://www.facebook.com/events/1484789645135356/
  11. had to have a look at my fuel pump to try and sort out an annoying problem. my fuel gauge hasn't been working properly, when full it read half and doesn't move for over 100 miles, then drops. it had the fuel light on and was on empty, it only took 41 litres to fill up (normally about 50 litres) then I finally got around to fitting a plain black sun strip that I bought about 2 years ago removed the tax disc holder and garage sticker from rear window, looks loads better
  12. the ones that hold the boot open? I was trying with mine for hours, then realized one of the brackets is hinged and moves out of the way. only took me 5 mins when I had worked it out. I know the legacy might be different to a blob, but it's got to be worth a look
  13. put my name down, I think I'll be going too
  14. the only car I have named was my last blob, Charlotte - after Charlotte Church, cos it was curvy and a good ride
  15. Saw this on my way to modified live today. it's a straightish road, but before he even pulled out I could see something coming. He is fully on the wrong side of the road when the van gets to him. can't believe he went for it and can't believe the van didn't hit him
  16. I was thinking 18L, I always thought that was mica? just had a look on scoobypedia and that says 18L GRAPHITE BLACK PEARL ? and I was wrong with mica, that's 08V
  17. I'm going to - cars in the park, mod nats and probably NBO I'll join you lot on your stand if you'll let me :D
  18. didn't think about the vans I've owner too x reg berlingo y reg relay 51 berlingo brand new 54 berlingo brand new 56 relay brand new 57 berlingo toyota hilux vauxhall vectra work car vauxhall astra work car and now got a merc vito
  19. looks good is it mica black? mine is obsidian black and has got green and blue flecks
  20. it was a great day, good to meet some new faces :) saw some great cars and looking forward to the rest of the show season
  21. I think if you only want to spend 1k you might end up with another turkey if you are doing 36 miles a day, a turbo will cost about £8 - £10 in fuel, so about £200 a month in fuel if you can afford £200 a month in fuel and insurance, buy a cheap diesel and run that for 6 months or so and then save up. if you have 2k more you will be able to find a decent one, with decent history and has been looked after, and it will have less chance of being a turkey no offense to anyone, but some of the 1k cars will be bought by council estate cru wanting summat well fast innit. and then when it comes to maintenance or mods, corners and costs are usually cut. 'my mate says it doesn't need a remap, cos it's got a self learning ecu' or 'my mate can remap it for £50 and it will be well rapid bro'
  22. lol, we all make mistakes, but I'd edit the video and delete that part
  23. nearly got a bonnet mascot on this one
  24. it's the only one I have tried, so I can't comment on others. while I'm using it I don't have any issues using navigation at the same time. a couple of mates use the transcend drivepro 200, the picture is wider and seems more stable, I keep looking into getting one
  25. it was good that the clinic stepped in to try and save the club, but some of the members don't like the clinic, me and shep can't keep the club going with just me and him posting.
