My blob wrx has 330bhp, lowest mpg I've had is 12, average is about 21, best I get is 36mpg on a run. The mpg is great for the potential of the car

    wrong back door?????
  3. the inner wing filters normally perform better, not sure about brands though. the big mushroom filters can cause issues with the maf and might kill it. sometimes the standard intake with snorkel perform better than the mushroom filters

Hi mate welcome to the club nice to see another local :) with the 2.5 failure debate. The WRX and STI have different engines. The WRX has a small % of failures, the STI failure is a lot more common. only use 99 ron fuel, there are a few tescos around here and it's only 5p more than normal petrol. that's only £2.50 extra per tank for piece of mind. If you shop at tesco, you can get up to 20p a litre off too. pop along to the meet, it's usually a good turn out, last month wasn't as busy as normal and there was still 12/15 cars there
  5. sorry to hear about your problems :( did the garage charge you for fitting the unnecessary parts that didn't sort the problem that they misdiagnosed? the fuel filter issue could have caused internal damage. If they fit parts correctly that they have bought, they should be covered by their 'professional indemnity' insurance. The faulty parts they fitted may have caused unseen damage.
  6. Cerwin Vega is a good brand, I've always wanted one of their 'stroker pro' subs
  7. I think that's the amplifier/power supply for the aerial in the rear window
  8. When you want some speakers nip into Halford's and have a listen to a few. It's surprising how different some brands sound. I've got some vibe black air 6x9's in sealed boxes in my work van, running from a 300w JBL amp. Just bought some phoenix gold 4 inch speakers for the dash. I need a good midrange and top end to keep up with the 10" sub and 1600w amp in the passenger footwell
  9. Have you got any info or write ups about what gains you can get with these mods? What stuff have they tried? Have they used the car on a track? Any graphs from the remap?
  10. being sensible and paying attention with speeding isn't the big killer that the police want people to think. speeding and not paying attention or speeding in inappropriate locations can cause accidents. The wife's uncle (John) was involved in an accident with the emmerdale actor stan richards son (Irvin) in 2001. Irvin died at the scene. John had been driving his camper van on the M62 in the early hours on his way home from mainland Europe. John had been driving along at 60mph and there was very little traffic. He occasionally passed a lorry, but saw little other traffic. He caught a lorry up, checked his mirrors (didn't see anything) and moved into the middle lane, he then heard a screech and a car came past him and smash. It hit a bridge support and went into the field. Irvin died at the scene. The Fiesta RS Turbo that Irvin was driving had been speeding, he had been doing 140mph in the left hand lane, when John moved to the middle lane Irvin had to go into the right hand lane to pass them both. He lost control and he was doing 92mph when he hit the bridge support. The only thing John did wrong was (by his own admission) fail to indicate (he had checked his mirror and didn't see anything so didn't bother). Seth Armstrong's family wanted John to be done for death by dangerous driving. It went to court and John got a big fine and points (as well as all the trauma from the accident and trial), blamed for someone else's high speed crash because he didn't indicate If Irvin had been speeding with a bit of sense he would have been in the right hand lane all the time and John failing to indicate would have been irrelevant. http://www.wakefieldexpress.co.uk/what-s-on/arts-entertainment/emmerdale-star-s-son-dies-in-car-crash-1-323921

  12. Rotherham Scoobies nearly killed my car twice and have destroyed at least 3 of my mates cars, including using silicone instead of new gaskets. he has even killed his own car FFS Martin at sheffield subaru service is spot on, does a good job and won't rip you off. the clinic are great too, not the cheapest, but they are one of the best tuners in the UK
  13. WTF is the KA driver on?????
  14. set it as unlisted and copy the link ;)
  15. 2015 sti you can upload pics to 'photobucket' or similar and then copy the link and paste it in the reply box what mods have you got planned? this is a link to a thread by scoobyclinic while they try different thing's for performance gains http://www.ukscoobies.com/t8560-2015-performance-pack-1-underway
  16. hi mate welcome to the club I love white ones what shape is it? or what year? most important thing.......pic's!!!!
  17. Instead of speed cameras all over, there should be ANPR cameras and a copper with a car crusher near it. every car that gets caught without insurance/tax or MOT should be crushed and the driver should have to pay for the service too. or ANPR cameras on EVERY major road junction, all main roads, all supermarket/shopping center car parks. Let's make it as difficult as possible for the illegal motorists to get around
  18. it's an easy way to raise money from easy targets drugs cause crime and deaths, all they get is a warning and free drugs. do speeders get free track days to satisfy their fix? near my house there have been 3 big crashes in a couple of years. in one the driver was only 16, he killed 4 people. in another 2 cars were racing and overtook on a blind bend, 4 died. another one speeding late at night killed 5. none were killed by just doing 10mph above the posted limit.
  19. Hi mate welcome to the club
  20. just had a look at the price of R34 GTR I nearly bought one 12 years ago for £15k :(
  21. they don't have camber bolts as std on my 05 blob wrx I had to have camber bolts fitted to the rear because it was that far out.
  22. Glad you enjoyed it, we all tend to mix and talk to different people, not just stand in clicky groups talking to the same person you see every day
  23. it's not even got full service history :o over 4 years between services is very poor :( it might sell at £14k if someone liked it but no chance at 24k
  24. is that a genuine comment? Have you any idea where 'Skeg', 'Donny' or 'Wakey' are?
