  1. my work van is the same, it has a sensor on neutral and also a clutch sensor, so won't rev high if clutch is pressed down my impreza only rev's to 5k rpm when stationary, oh hang on, that's called launch control
  2. one day, don't know when, but one day, karma will get him
  3. threats and all that crap, then you give him a refund and he's all 'hi mate' what a knob glad you got another quick sale
  4. night vision camera is great for stalking well, so I've been told
  5. very tidy looking car B) the TD04 has had a couple of results of over 300bhp, and quite a few over 290bhp. my last blob only made 263bhp with remap and exhaust :( but the TD04 is know for low down spool, not top end bhp. better off punchy midrange than nothing......nothing.......nothing......woooooaaahhhhhhh
  6. what a ***** I had a similar thing about 10 years ago, I had a car stereo for sale in local 'free ad's', I listed everything about it, a lad phoned up and asked loads of questions, his mate then brought him through to pick it up, he looked at everything, I fitted it in my car to show everything was working fine, he was happy with it, paid and left. about 3 hours later I got a phone call, the stereo he had bought from me had a different connector to the multi disc player that he had got, I explained that he had seen it before he bought it, etc. he then got aggressive and said if I didn't give him a refund he'd set fire to our house one night (all for £40 FFS) so I said fetch it back. one quick phone call to my brother in law (he then came to ours) the lads mate turned up. brother in law gave him some advice like 'tell your chicken **** mate to find out who he's threatening BEFORE he makes threats, and if you want to play them games, bring it on'. the lad was !Removed! himself, he couldn't leave fast enough I wonder what he said to his mate when he got back
  7. Great news I hope there isn't any internal damage or other issues that have been caused by his incompetence
  8. My last blob had a forge dump valve fitted, it always had hesitation on gear change, even had it mapped and it wasn't much better. My new blob has the standard recirc fitted and it's spot on, no hesitation and very smooth. Imo I wouldn't fit the dv. I fitted a cat back on my last blob and then had it checked on the rollers and fueling was fine. Every car is different, so you could get different results to me
  9. good advice pommy if you visit the garage, set your phone to voice record and put it in your shirt pocket, then at least you have a verbal recording, don't let them draw you into an argument, if you feel like you are going to lose your temper, just walk away. put it this way, you've paid £400 and they've killed your engine. give me £400 and I can kill the next one for you too if you want it's their mistake, they should sort it
  10. hi mate welcome to the club the difference in performance between the wrx and sti is less than sti owners want people to believe :D
  11. I wave to Imprezas, but don't get many waves back, mainly gormless looks. but that's the thing with the price of them now, people buy them cos they're cheap, not cos they've always wanted one and saved up to buy one. a lot are through swapz too :( I don't usually wave to foresters or legacy's, sorry
  12. There's a Subaru meet at the Lock Keepers Inn in Worksop on the 27th April from 1pm. This is a great venue and has indoor and out door play areas for the kids, and does a cracking carvery too. It's the UKScoobies monthly meet and last summer we were getting over 20 cars and it was a great day, you are all more than welcome to come along, the more the merrier. The link to the venue is here http://www.lockkeeperpub.co.uk/
  13. I did something similar, we were at the chatsworth show and there was a redbull stand near ours. my car was a monster rep and me and another lad went over to them for the laugh, they gave us a case of 24 on the condition we drank them before we left. so 12 cans each! we did it, but didn't feel well when we left and then didn't get to sleep until 6am not going to do that again

  17. yep, mod nats in 2012, I was in the top 50 section, in between the arena and the stage. I still can't believe I ended up there, I went down and wasn't going to show my car and when I went into the normal car park a lad said 'do you want to go into the ''too good for the car park'' section?' I said why not, I went there and another lad said 'it's too nice to go in the ''too good for the car park'' section, go and park over there in the top 50 section' :o
  18. hi mate welcome to the club your dad has got good taste in cars B) ash007 has got a skyline too, so your not the only member with bad taste :D only joking, I'd give my left ball for an R34GTR
  19. I actually carpeted my sub box in the boot it's only been in there 6 months :D :D I even secured it in place too DB Audio T-Rex sub in ported box, 1600rms amp, 0 gauge cables, Alpine 117ri head unit and an Epicentre
  20. He's said they are common too, but they are specific and you can't use universal ones. The discs were heavily scored, last time pads must have worn down to metal and damaged the discs, but only the pads were replaced
