  1. so far there are about 15 cars going from ukscoobies, so should be a great turn out :D
  2. hi matt welcome to the club :) car looks good and the best shape too :D the pill can be removed from the old pipe and should fit in the new pipe fine (should slide out)
  3. Bosh, if you want, you can just meet us at meadowhall retail park, it's only 2 mins from the M1
  4. did it used to be lower? or have you just got the car? my blob used to be 1.2 bar, then went up to 1.8!, turned out it was a split pipe just before the actuator, so actuator wasn't releasing extra boost
  5. Slight change of plans, Martin won't be open due to unforeseen circumstances. So we are still going to meet up at Martin's at 7.00, then move to Meadowhall retail park at 7.15. See you all there
  6. I think the JDM has cheaper road tax, I know it was cheaper on the hawkeye, not sure if it still is on the hatch though
  7. if you let the organisers know that you want a club stand, they will want to know how many cars to allocate to the stand area just found out that the thoresby jap and ford show is on the same day :(
  8. It's that time again, last month was a great turn out, over 20 cars. see you all there Address - Unit 36 Century Street Sheffield S9 5DX Meeting Time - 7.00PM/1900hrs Meeting Rules 1. No idiotic driving on the roads surrounding the Meeting. 2. No leaving litter. 3. Do not partake in any other idiotic behaviour. 4. Have fun and meet fellow Subaru owners (past and present)
  9. It's a fantastic day, it's not a massive busy show, but a chilled out day. Have a walk around and talk to other clubs, you can get up close to the show area. Loads of BBQ's and tea and coffee at each club stand. There's also a raffle with great prizes. Donations on entry and all money goes to charity
  10. I bet concourse ones fetch a pretty penny. hope you get a good one and look forward to seeing it
  11. lol at least you didn't turn up next week and complain it was a crap turn out :P

    Billy bargain

bargain :D I went into a famous car and bike shop, the clearance bins had nano-tech upholstery cleaner, tyre black and window cleaner. was £10, reduced to £5, and then 75% off marked price, so £1.25 :o not very often I find stuff like that
  13. it'll be Monday 14th for the next meet it starts at 7, but usually lasts a couple of hours. the latest I have ever left is 10.30! and martin ended up kicking the last 5 of out  during the summer last year one of the lads used to bring a BBQ, a few people brought bun's and burgers for everyone :D see you all there
  14. the 2.5's do have a higher than average fail rate, but it's only something like 1 in 10 fail if your engine get's to 30k and it's not melted, do you stand and shout 'look everybody, my engine hasn't melted!!!' there is a lot of noise made about failed engines - one possible cure is a remap - how many paid for a remap to try to stop it, or did they just keep ragging it and then moan when it happened? how many were run on 95 ron fuel? FSH? high rev's will kill them in a different way (high speed run, no air into top mount, high temp with heat soak, running rich = dead engine), but probably still slagged off for being a 2.5 the forged ones do fetch more money, but not what it has cost. even a forged wrx will be good for 380bhp
  15. Just a quick courtesy call to let you all know that NBO 12 is now GO! http://bbs.scoobynet.com/northern-england-21/1000818-northern-big-one-12-the-official-list-2014-a.html#post11392490
  16. I got the bars with the spoiler, I was cheeky and he threw them in for free. I fitted both And it was too strong, so I've got one wrx one and one sti one fitted, it works fine. The sti bar is thicker and the ends are a more aggressive angle.
  17. If you look where the arm is that holds the boot lid, you will see a hinged bracket about 100mm long that holds the end of the bar. Move that first, then remove the bar, it will be easier to prop the boot open before you start. You may need to remove them both at first because they can get tangled together I bet you will surprise a few people!
  18. There are about 6 holes that line up. But there aren't any fixings across the middle. If you look in the boot, under the parcel shelf, you will see 2 thin bars that run side to side. If you don't change them the boot won't hold itself up and will keep falling down.
  19. nice looking car B) I've been in 2 classics with over 500bhp and they were mental :D
  20. nice one, glad you sorted it
  21. is it fitted with the torsion style bars (not struts)? try removing one of them, or get some from a wrx
  22. I get in at half 6, then shower, tea, see my kids and then an hours drive, so it'll be 9 when I get there. I'm up at 5am, so I need to think about setting off home soon after
  23. I've fitted one on my WRX, it's held on with about 6 bolt's (like the std spoiler) but the sti spoiler is usually held on by about 20 bolts and clips :o why not look for an sti boot with spoiler fitted? I bought mine from scoobynet for £200, I wanted a black one and it was cheaper cos black isn't very common, blue ones are usually about £300 also, don't forget to get the stronger boot springs too
