Car is in garage for full service and MOT, emissions were just ok, but failed due to the cat being removed. !Removed! New MOT rules

when it was std, I could hear it, but it wasn't very noticeable, but now that I've got a VF35 fitted it's louder not sure of the boost on the hawkeye, it might be slightly lower due to the 2.5 engine

Std boost in my blob wrx is about 1 BAR or 14.7 PSI. Do you know anyone with a turbo diesel? I can hear the turbo whistle in my work van Not sure about the torque app, I've never used one NO, I didn't want an STI, and YES, I could afford one if I did want one!!!!

200 miles and all that soot, I wonder what my engine looks like with over 100k..... if the soot is just a coincidence, did they store the engine outside and uncovered????

I would say get a boost gauge fitted and see what's happening when you put your foot down, if boost is low or drop's off, get some really soapy water and coat all the boost pipes in the engine bay, rev the car and see if any bubbles appear IMO, it sounds like the normal turbo whistle

if you had asked last week I had a rear pair to give away, I chucked them in the skip on Sunday :( one had just started clunking (easy fix with the grease nipple mod) and the other was fine, but I replaced the pair

the wheel PCD were only different on the STI from 05 onwards, they are 5x114.3. all others are 5x100 turbo, top mount and injector's are a direct fit, suspension and down pipe is different, like 555wagon said, a lot parts will fit or can be made to fit

I know a lot of people don't reply loads and just browse, but, on 2 other clubs I've been with, every member must have just liked to browse and they end up with no one posting and the forum goes stagnant. one this that really annoys me is when I put a post up and then it gets 40 views and 1 reply, is it really that difficult to reply.... what about people that just search for info, is it hard to say 'that info was very helpful'??? or, 'that link was just what I was looking for'????

my last car had toyo T1R's fitted when I got it, it was scary when it was wet. I took them off with over 3mm tread left, I had the ssesantas fitted and OMG what a difference. there was over a foot of snow and the wife went into KFC and there was only 4 spaces clear in the car park, so I had a play, it took some effort to do some donuts, the tyres just kept digging in and finding traction, but I ended up just driving around in the snow clearing the car park for other people to park in LOL, didn't get stuck once, didn't even get worried that I'd get stuck either

I think there should be a limit too, either 100 posts or so and minimum of 1 month of being a member to post in the for sale or wanted also, people posting in the 'wanted' section, be careful of new members PM'ing you with 'exactly what you wanted'

welcome to the club :D I've heard good stuff about the LPG but don't do enough miles to justify it daft question- how does it work??? will a car mapped for 99 ron run different to a std car mapped for 95 ron?

if you are going to sell it, don't bother with the respray, you'll spend £1k+ and maybe get £200 more for it, not worth it IMHO

I think it's every 5 years, not sure of mileage though on an 02 reg it should have been done twice, if it's not been done in the last 5 years, get it done for piece of mind
