glad you are keeping it.
one tip about any mods, try to keep all the parts you remove or don't butcher any parts.
people kept doing the full face lift and updating the cars, but now, the original non face lift are more sought after. all those people that binned the 'old' parts and fitted new, now the old parts can be worth more
she won't have to pay the excess at all
some companies won't let you buy back, they either have a company that buy's all the write off's or they send them all to auction
just keep asking them to buy back, if they don't let you, ask to speak to a manager
I looked into the sea level too, at home I'm 50M above sea level, where we stayed in Newquay is 70M above, so, in theory, I drove up hill going there :P
but 20M difference over 300 miles is nothing, it's not like I can freewheel all the way
60 MPG
they look good, but do stick out a bit
one thing to consider, they are made to a budget, do you want your wheels held on by nuts made from cheap metal?
what fuel were you using before? I've found I get better MPG from Tesco 99 than nitro, I did a thread on scabbynet http://bbs.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-general-1/980241-mpg-test-nitro-vs-momentum.html
one reply is a classic, MPG was worse coming home because.......wait for it.........I was going up hill back to Yorkshire WTF
car looks good, black is the best colour :D
the turbo exhaust is 2 1/2 inch pipe, but the non turbo is only 2 inch, you might be able to make it fit (yours will have a different cat/pipework due to turbo) but I think you will lose torque from reduced back pressure
yours also has equal length headers and no burble, you can buy unequal length headers for the non turbo to give it the burble though.......
I don't go on facebook either, 95% of stuff it just a load of ****. a mate has got 1,000's of 'friends', he posted 'going in the shower' he got 107 likes, WTF!
what's the point in trying to impress people you never see and didn't like at school, and if you saw them in the street you would cross the roads to avoid them
I heard about the club at the Scooby meet at SSS
Didn't know that!
If people want to keep fuel costs down, why not use 99ron (£1.40 a litre) and mix with 20% meth (1.00 a litre) ? Averaging only £1.30 a litre, so cheaper too.
Great bang per buck and cheaper too (will need a map tweek though)
