Thumbs Up For Flux Insurance
Well, I've been truly shafted!!!! it turns out that the Flux policy for my car was supposed to be the same as Keith Michaels, just got the limited mileage form through and it is only for 3,000 miles, not 5,000 like it should be. I phoned them up this morning and they said if I raise the allowed mileage to 5,000 it would 'only' cost me another £150!!!! Robbing ******'s!!!! That's more than my renewal quote! I said it's within 14 days so can I cancel? Yes I can, but I have to pay some fees, so 10 days insurance has cost me over £100! I've phoned Keith Michaels and they have done it for £750 like they said. Very disappointing from a club sponsor! NO, I didn't want an STI, and YES, I could afford one if I did want one!!!!

Why is Sky so sh*t!!!
vermin media is just the same, I have a series link for all UFC events, I bet it doesn't record 1 in 3, so I have to look through the TV guide to make sure it is set to record

what do you that is silly with your car?
I drive near Meadowhall shopping centre now and again, sometimes I drive into the multi storey car park, drive around in first gear making lots of noise, and then drive back out again

there's a hill near me that's a 40 zone, when I go downhill in 2nd I feather the throttle and get it popping and banging all the way, it's so funny seeing people jump or looking around smiling and watching me go past :D I must get 50 smiles per gallon

help on deciding bug eye GX vs wrx/sti pros and cons
I had it remapped and it was a quick car, not sure if it was on a par with the cupra r though the most I ever got from a tank was just over 600 miles and the fuel light hadn't come on I had always wanted an impreza and just before my dad passed away he said 'enjoy yourself while you're here', after he died I sold the leon and got my first impreza

What's your job...
I'm a sparky, got into the trade as soon as I left school, my uncle and granddad were painter and decorators (about 40 men working for them), my uncle used to buy and sell houses as well. his mates were plumbers and joiners, so he said if I became a sparky he'd set me on and pay me well. but he passed away (1991) while I was still at school :(. I still qualified as a sparky and I still feel like he's 'with me'. I've been laid off a couple of times in the last few years, but I've just gone self employed, working for a couple of different lads, could do with working a 9 day week to keep them all happy :) massive respect to anyone in the armed forces RANT ON it's about time we stopped giving 'foreign aid' to any other country and started paying our nurses and police decent wages, and get more of them at work. surely more police out on the front line, stopping criminals, (and the courts handing out good sentences) will cut crime. look after our own soldiers with help for hero's, even paying for lifeboats, hospices and air ambulance instead of them relying on donations (sorry if I've missed anyone) RANT OFF

I like the Leon, I used to have the fr150, only got rid because it's got poor head room in the back

help on deciding bug eye GX vs wrx/sti pros and cons
I wouldn't swap the engine, there are loads of other things that would need swapping too. Engine, turbo, ECU, full exhaust. Then its stuff like brakes, anti roll bars. It could also make it more difficult to sell, I'd sell yours as it is, so it will appeal to younger drivers or someone wanting cheaper insurance. NO, I didn't want an STI, and YES, I could afford one if I did want one!!!!

New to Scoobys and want to know what to look for
they look the same to me too, I said earlier that JCT cars wasn't cheap

another good turn out big thanks to martin for letting us have the meet there :D
-
High mileage
my 05 reg wrx is on 105k and running 330bhp
-
New to Scoobys and want to know what to look for
Open source mapping by Racedynamix or similar will be about £350. if you want 330ish bhp, get a turbo, injectors, fuel pump and exhaust. You should be able to get those bits including fitting and mapping for about a grand. NO, I didn't want an STI, and YES, I could afford one if I did want one!!!!
-
Exhaust pop occasionally
yep, mine does it :D , I had pops and bangs mapped in it didn't do it much through the winter, but it's doing it more often now that the weather is warming up
