  1. I'm exhausted, spent the day detailing the car. Washed and dried, clayed, cleaned up the left over tar with tar remover, polished and buffed off, gloss protection and buffed off, wax on and wax off, cleaned windows and finished off with some tyre dressing. Will edit in some pics :) sorry these phone pics are the best i took :(
  2. booked in with martin to get some bushes, pagid discs, pads replaced and some hel braided brake lines. :) Spent the last few days waiting for an overcast day so i can wash, clay, polish then wax the scooby. The last few days it was far too sunny and today its been !Removed! it down all day.
  3. Yea tht looks awesome mate.
  4. Ordered my new braided hel brake lines today! Also bought an autoglym clay bar kit. Excited love buying car stuff.
  5. looks good mate, i bet its nice to have two subaru's on the drive :)
  6. Just got back from Spain. Lovely place and the women are simply stunning! So many slim tanned brunettes and blondes! Shame about the British tourists that see the country as a giant **** up and ruined the place.
  7. Still in benidorm, will get some pics up a few days after i get back. Found out i've got a job interview the day after i return, so as soon as we land and get bk to my folks i've gotta jump in the scoob n drive 130miles bk up north n try to prepare for it. Lol fun fun
  8. Having met martin hes a proper top bloke, so id imagine he'd have a quick look.
  9. If i remember correctly its something to with the salt/grit getying through a small gap under the car and possibly corroding some of the brake lines. I think they just clean off the corrosion and apply some protective fluid.
  10. Im in benidorm. Its !Removed! hot and the place is full with fit women. :)
  11. Just two hours before we are due to go to the airport, the missus finally finished packing... oh look shes over weight. Not suprisngly sges packed aload of **** she doesnt need -.-
  12. Thanks chaps, sounds good. Hows the cornering? My dad always complains that his suzuki doesnt take very tight corners very well. Do most of the foz's have a high to low transfer box for the awd? I ask as, my folks live up an old farmers lane/track up a hill, now in the bad snow its absolutely terrible to get up and down. Being able to pop it in Low ratio they can drive down in 1st gear, in a controlled manner without having to touch brakes. its eqaully useful for driving up the track in the deep snow. thanks in advance.
  13. Found this on Ebay, might be of interest to any of the hatch guys. I got my genuine subaru spoiler from him, no complaints. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191218121048?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  14. how is the ride in the Forresters? my dads got a short wheel based 52 plate 1.6 petrol suzuki grand vitae which is on the way out and could do with being replaced. Now his Suzuki is like driving a boat, the ride is horrible, it leans around the bends and any passengers get thrown about all over the shop. It's not very pleasant. So i suggested a 2.0Foz, but i'm wondering if the ride would be nice and firm?
  15. yea i probably will bud, gonna get martin to fit me new brake lines, discs and pads too :)
  16. how are the osram side lights? i would mind getiing some, but i couldn't figure out how to get the old bulbs out lol. I presume you have to take out the whole housing.
  17. that looks awesome mate, bet your chuffed. :)
  18. I'd expect it would be limiting performance a bit, although its probably neglible. i'm planning to get a stainless steel cat back exhaust and depending on the price, i might go for a sports cat.
  19. lol, Can we have another one the following week so I can come?
  20. Sounds good chaps, I'm in :)

I don't know if this interests anyone, but i saw a post on the NBO's facebook page, here's the link - https://www.facebook.com/pages/Northern-Big-One/114138271944139 Pasted it too, for those that cant view FB at work or whatever. "First of all I would just like to say a BIG BIG Thank You to everyone who attended NBO 12 yesterday and Very Well Done to all the CS Organising Team and Club Members who helped out on the day at LWV and made NBO 12 a huge success !. Thanks to everyone we raised £2803,66p for the Childrens air Ambulance . We were let down by a few clubs who couldn`t muster enough for a stand it seems and by a few traders who were no shows. There is nothing we can do about that so I think the amount we raised on the day was a superb effort. Well Done Everyone !. The main thing is everybody enjoyed themselves and we have received a lot of good feedback already. Hopefully next year we can build the numbers back up , please feel free to give us any feedback you may have on NBO 12 so we can improve the show for the future. The show is for the Subaru Community so please help us improve it in any way we can. The BTCC was on at Croft just up the road , Goodwood Festival of Speed was on , The Scottish rally was on and so were BSB`s at Knockhill. We book a year in advance and are at the mercy of the motorsport world who don`t announce dates until well into the new year , March in 2014 to be exact. The judging worked very well this year Thanks to Andy Rae, Rob Ostle and Chris Towers with assistance from Gus McKerrow. It took no time at all and was drama free also , Cracking Job Lads. Very well done to all the trophy winners at NBO 12 the standard of the cars was extremely high and a credit to all the entrants , superb job !. Classic Impreza Winner : Ryan France P1 Runner Up : Dave Wright P1 Bug Eye Impreza Winner : Simon James STi Runner Up : Lee "Locky" Hampton STi Blob Eye Impreza Winner : Nigel Haggerty STi Runner Up : Mike Purcell STi Hawk Eye Impreza Winner : Melanie Hayman STi Runner Up : Rob Lomas RB 320 Hatch & Saloon 2008 -> Winner : John Jones STi Runner Up : David Irving STi Other Subaru Models Winner : Judith Hardy BRZ Runner Up : Jim from Mangoletsi New MY2015 STi 340 NBO Test Winner : Lee Heathcock 1997 Catalunya CAR OF THE SHOW : Winner : Melanie Hayman STi Runner Up : Judith Hardy BRZ I must apologise but I don`t have the club stand results , they will follow. Many Photographs were taken by Mariusz on the day which will also be shared with you all very soon 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) And finally NBO 13 is booked for June 21st 2015. The planning starts now. Thanks again to all who attended or supported us , See you all next year at LWV" I won't post the comments, but they seem quite negative and a few quite harsh ones.
  22. gutted, I come back from holiday the day after, could have made that one :(
  23. Not impressed with Eurocarparts. Ordered some Pagid discs and pads as they were offering a 25% discount. ECP listed the wrong rear pads for my car, so i accidentally bought them thinking they were the right ones. Called them up to cancel, the muppet on the phone said he couldn't help as they have already been shipped and I'd have to order the correct pads, then drive to one of their stores to return the wrong pads. So I have two orders, one for 155 quid and another for 48 quid. Checked carparts4less.co.uk and found they are selling the correct Pagid parts for 155 quid. Typical eh.
  24. hi, lol, yeah will get Martin in Sheffield to do it. I tend to be able to make sense of most car things, but this suspension stuff is beyond me. So definitely getting Martin to do it :) I think Martin said they were the "rear bottom arm bushes" and he's gonna get me some quotes, for the OEM bushes and polyurethane bushes. Are poly's alot more expensive than rubber OEM ones? I'd rather keep the costs down if possible, as I need a new exhaust too, and i think I have a dual mass flywheel issue, (squeaking when pulling off in 1st,) so I'll probably need to get a single mass flywheel in the future. haha I'll probably opt for rubber, as otherwise I'd be concerned that some of the suspension bushes would be rubber and apart from the new poly ones. tom
  25. I gave mine a wash inside and out this afternoon. Nice and clean again :) yay Just ordered a some new front and rear Pagid discs and pads. Seemed to have pretty good reviews online and a very good price.
