  1. That rain could turn to snow though Stants. Least you have got a chance of snow! I miss the snow :(
  2. Its snowing in the Peak District, (according to my brother on facebook)
  3. lol hahah will remember that for next time. on another note... Is it snowing yet?
  4. I'd ask the garage (whichever you plan to use) how they are going to replace them and check that they are experienced with Subaru's. As some garages don't have a clue about Subaru engines. Before I got my legacy, the previous owner had it serviced and to change the plugs, they disconnected the whole engine and dropped it out of the bottom of the engine bay. The garage didn't put the engine back in straight and left the steering column hanging in the engine bay.
  5. Some !Removed! ****** in a passat parked on the end of my drive, blocking me in. !Removed! inconsiderate ******. left a note on his windscreen, "please be considerate when parking, as you have blocked me in! Should have added, "you typical inconsiderate passat driving ******!" He's !Removed! off now, !Removed! knob good job it wasnt a work day eh. lol rage over.
  6. I spent 320 quid on decent winter tyres, so cant wait!
  7. I !Removed! hope it snows! Had the subaru for about 10-11 months and still aint had the pleasure of driving in the snow.
  8. What about a non turbo 1.5 or 2.0, will be cheaper on the insurance n all that.
  9. Managed to get 40mpg on a run today :)
  10. Interesting thread. My legacy's on 97k and as it was bought as a cat D i've no idea of the service history and no knowledge of any previous work, however, I get alot of squeeling in 1st and sometimes juddering in slow moving traffic. So i do plan on replacing the clutch in at service/mot time In january. I've not even looked at subaru dealers and will no doubt go to Sheffield Subaru Service, even though its well out of my way it will probably be considerably cheaper than a main dealer.
  11. they look awsome mate, i wonder if they'd fit my legacy.
  12. looks like it sold for 4.485!
  13. One of my osram nightbreaker bulbs blew today, felt like a right knob driving home with one light... Couldnt see ****, so had to put my fogs on.... then realised I look like a fog light ******. :( luckily, i still had the old bulbs, so popped one of those in till i get some replacement bulbs.
  14. lol yeah, 60 mile round trip for me too. I tend to drive really steady, with no fast accelerating (unless required) and stick to 60mph on the motorways to save petrol. oh i turn the air con off too haha.
  15. Thats a right bargain mate! edit, I notice its only 48k mileage. Although, the mpg he quotes as 21-22, I'd have expected a little higher, suggests to me that he's been using standard ron95 petrol. Hopefully not supermarket gunk.
  16. I cleaned mine on Saturday. its dirty again now :( I have to use mine for work, costs me a bit but i can claim 52p per mile. Covers half of my monthly fuel bill though and i love showing off the Subaru :)
  17. Personally I'd go for nothing less than shell vpower. i tend to go out of my way a few miles just for a tank of Vpower.
  18. oh i see, thanks bud,
  19. Thats a banging price for 4 alloys and winter tyres! @Sandspider, I guess they'd fit, however, I thought the spec b legacies have 18inch alloys? these are 17's, so it might look quite a bit different.
  20. Oh i see, so the bolt kit would be a better option than the bushes? I gave Revolution a call yesterday to see if they'd fit the bushes. Waiting for a call back, so will find out if they are willing to fit the bolts instead.
  21. Ah thanks Mr B. The rear camber on the left was -0(Degrees)42(Minutes) and the rear camber on the right hand side was -1(Degrees)34(minutes) (lol Sorry, cant find the degrees symbol on my keyboard) The front camber is off to, with the front left at -0(Degrees)23(minutes) and the right -1(Degrees)0(minutes). They couldn't fix the front camber, as it needed to be "freed off" and there wasn't enough time left in the day to do it. And the rear camber couldn't be done as its not adjustable on the Mk4 Legacies. The guy did have a look for the parts, however, I think he said that on Imprezas the rear camber arm is adjustable, so he was looking for an equivalent part for the legacy. I guess he wasn't aware of the whiteline KCA399 Rear Control arm - upper outer bushing. Although, Mr B. What does this part do? and how does it differ from the KCA 399 bushings? http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=88&products_id=2944
  22. jesus wept, hope ya ok bud.
  23. ah sweet thanks guys. I had a thought earlier. As Legacies do not have adjustable rear camber and only the drivers side rear camber is off. Could that mean that actually one of the camber arms (if you call them that) is actually bent or something along those lines?
  24. Hi all, Went to revolution motorstore in Gateshead this afternoon for a full wheel alignment, had great service btw. The hunter alignment they use was really good, gives really accurate measurements of toe, camber, caster, etc etc. They changed the Toe alignments no problems. however, the rear camber on the Legacy cannot be adjusted. As its different to the Impreza chassis. So a replacement part that can be adjusted is required. They couldn't source a part in the UK, but suggested I check out sites in the US, as Legacies are very common over there. So, does have any idea what kinda part I would need to adjust the rear camber? Three links below are the only things that I can find, but im not really sure what Im looking at. Any help would be appreciated. http://www.larkspeed.com/index.pl?p=64581260K&a=i http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=88&products_id=2944 http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=88&products_id=3033
  25. Went to Revolution Motorstore (http://www.revolution247.com/) this afternoon for my full alignment. Pretty good service, will do a full write up over the weekend when I get the opportunity.
